That is the exact reason we started writing these, because people were bashing the guys so badly and it was making us mad. So we turned it into something sarcastic and snarky and it made us laugh, so just went with it!

I still laugh at the idea of them blocking Ian on Facebook and Twitter.

I think it's good that we discuss stuff on here and don't just worship the band but it goes too far when we just bash them over something that we take the wrong way. Like if it's out of character why do people assume "they've changed" before "maybe I don't know the full story" or "hmm what reason might they have for doing/saying this". I get very defensive of these guys too so I gotta watch myself. I don't see them as god but they're good people who shouldn't be shit on. Even when/if they make mistakes.

You're exactly right. Everybody makes mistakes and they're not perfect, but they are all really good guys and aren't doing anything wrong. They're just trying to make awesome music and figure out all this business stuff at the same time because this whole major label thing is new to them too. I don't understand why some people don't get that. I'm all for an open discussion, but attacking the guys just isn't cool.

As I read this and found myself nodding, I realized I view these guys like they're my children (which is odd since I'm about a decade younger) haha. It's really a funny/weird thing. I just wanna protect them, haha. I also get so proud of them when they do well. Haha, brb signing up for therapy...

Sign me up too because I kind of feel the same way! I'm protective of them too because I think they are all really good guys and the music means SO much to me, that when people bash them, it feels personal to me. I'm proud of them too when they do well, like when they signed with Mercury. I thought it was great and exciting for them, and I didn't get why people were so up in arms about it. I know I can be too sensitive and get riled up too easily, but c'mon. This is a fan forum and we're here because we love the band. Why attack them?
