I think I am going to try for an emotionally lacking life. I would rather life without emotions, even if it is a less than happy life. Oh, and I have given up on a relationship. I realize it is meant to be just me myself and I during life, and no one else.

If you were happy with the person you are, you wouldn't be quite so bummed out about being single. And being single is not equal to being alone. Alone is when you isolate yourself from the world and try to turn off your feelings. I have been single for forever and a day, but I am very rarely alone. Surround yourself by people that you love and who love you back, do things that give you joy, and be the best person you can be because life is a gift and it can be taken from you in the blink of an eye. Don't waste it.

You saying that you want an emotionally lacking life depresses me. Seriously. I will lose sleep thinking about how sad you are and how no matter what I say it's not helping you. How is it that I feel more emotions about your life than you do?! This is madness!

Seriously man, you can't just rule out relationships or feelings at any stage of life, things will get better.

Just try not to get yourself so down on things like this, life always works itself out.

Man I'm 19, ain't got a girlfriend, ain't got a job (therefore distinct lack of moneys), ain't got a car (can't drive) - Pretty sure i'm in a worse off position than the one you make yourself out to be in. Do you see me complaining about it? No. Embrace the day man, live your life, roll with it. No point in getting urself beat up over things that will always work themselves out in the long run.

Whatever happens happens man, just don't come on in complaining and bitching about how shit you think your life is then refuse everyones advice, ever stop to think that there could be people in worse positions than yourself? Just shuck it up and get the hell on with it.

Bravo, Philo, bravo! You have the right attitude! And no, Jimmy doesn't think about other people being worse off than him. People around here, myself included, have tried to open his eyes to this fact, but he seems to be blind to anyone's problems but his own.

Jimmy, please wake up, open your eyes, and see that life is what you make of it at this point. You have more blessings than millions of people on this earth can even dream about, and if your biggest problem in life is that you are 20 years old and don't have a girlfriend, you need a serious reality check. That is not a problem. Disease, homelessness, violence, child abuse, poverty, natural disasters - these kinds of things are problems. Look around you and I bet you will see someone who is truly suffering.

Analyzing the ever loving shit out of the same topics does nothing but help stall him from making any real change. I used to analyze things allll the time for nothing except to avoid facing the truth. Which in his case is the need to make a total overhaul in his comprehension of the reality of male-female relationships and his relationship with himself. And good luck with all that. The show was in RI tonight and was a thousand times more awesome. Not the band, they were great both nights, but just everything else about the experience.

why was the show so much better in RI?!

Better cus:
1. No traffic on the way up
2. FREE parking across the street from the venue
3. It was basically a bar that was 1/4 of the size of the venue they played last night
4. Crowd was way into it (yelling along, shouting requests, etc.)
5. I was front row (like my hands were resting on the stage)
6. Had a better vantage point photowise
7. Bassist jumped offstage right in front of me and played from the crowd for a bit.

I find, big city crowds, will watch a show sitting on their hands. It's almost an 'ok, impress me and I might show you gratitude then'

shows, and the intimacy is not something you can duplicate, but yeah.

I've never really seen Gaslight in small venues, smallest I've seen them in, is about 700 capcity venues, the most I've saw them play too was technically 50,000, when they supported PJ

I'd love to see them in smaller venues, but I'm happy that I've saw them, so that's something I guess

* The Clubhouse, which was recently closed because of shootings at a rap concert, is where I first saw Gaslight. the best info i can find says it holds 600 people. and that show was in April 2009, i believe

i know, haha! i was alone, so i got pretty stinkin drunk, then i went home and made my brother (who had both, no job and no decent taste in music) pack his bags to go to the next show w/ me the next day! and he FUCKING LOVED IT.

although, the other day, i put on AS in the car, and he goes: "who is this"? and i just stared at him, and he's all "no, but who..." and i just stared at him. then Brian's voice came on, and he goes "oh, yeah, Gaslight, that's what I thought"...

I WAS ABOUT TO STRAIGHT UP BITCH SLAP A BITCH!!!!!
