One thing before i crawl into my bed: one of my friends is in la atm, she has my same name, she went to starbucks and they thought her name was NADIA.

Haha, that's weird ILARIA. The pizza place by my house thinks my name is Shanna (which they have pronounced Shan-nuh, Shay-nuh, and Shawna). I don't correct them.

Stevie Nicks is the guest mentor on American Idol this week. I love her so much. The song Landslide has been stuck in my head a lot lately. It's very emotional for me and I love that a few of the contestants sang part of it in a medley. Is anybody else watching?

Haha, that's hilarious, Shannon! I think I'm gonna have to start calling you Shanna.
Last week I was on the phone with a lady at my dentist's office and she somehow heard my name as Julie instead of Sarah. She was like, "Okay, that will work. You said your name was Julie?" And I just started laughing and said, "No, Sarah."

Julie doesnt even sound like Sarah! How do people get names mixed up like that?! For the longest time my dad called our neighbors Roy and Amy. Their names are Ray and Annie. I'm so glad I'm good with names!

Haha, I know! Afterwards she said, "Oh...Julie doesn't sound anything like Sarah."

I'm usually pretty good with names too. It's so annoying when you've known someone for a while and they can't remember your name, so I always try and make sure I remember everybody's, and how they spell it.

Me too! When I started teaching I made sure to pay really close attention to the spellings of the kids' names, because parents get really irate if you make a mistake. In one class I had a Matty and a Maddie, a Connor and a Conner, and a Riley and a Kyleigh. It was confusing! Plus I had three other kids at the time, and they were between 12-16 months old. It was insane, but fun!

Ha, that's funny that the parents get upset about that. I can't imagine either of my parents really caring too much about something like that! I guess Sarah isn't that hard of a name to spell, though! However 90% of the time people leave off the H.
It's so funny to me that so many people have trouble spelling and pronoucing Shannon. It's not that uncommon of a name! Silly people.

I know! People are kind of stupid sometimes. When I moved here, I had three teachers pronounce my name Shay-nen. I was like, "Huh? Have I entered a foreign country where no one speaks English?"

Haha, parents can get mad about anything! I've had to deal with some real winners over the years , but I always manage to win them over. I play the game well.
