Hi Konrad!
Guess what?! My scarf is all done!! I'll get pics up sometime. Wanna let it dry first. It looks kinda funny right now...or like it's going through an acupuncture treatment. haha
Yea! I can't wait to see this scarf! Congratulations on finishing it, and just in time for St. Paddy's Day!
Yup yup! Now I can feel good about all the Guinness I'm gonna slurp down.

Haha, I bet you are a closet Kid Rock fan, and you're going to break out your stash of CDs and start singing along right now.
Adios, amiga!

I don't think I've ever listened to Blink-182. Probably about 95% of the music I listen to came out before 1990. 60s/70s were the best time for music. And then I discovered Gaslight. I listen to a little bit of other fairly stuff, but I'm a classic rock girl.

Ooh, I love Led Zeppelin! "Going to California" and "Over the Hills and Far Away" are probably my favorites, but they have so many good ones.

Nice! Yeah, "Over the Hills and Far Away" is just beautiful. I'd have to agree. I'm also a big fan of "Bron Yr Aur." That Jimmy Page was a legend. Of course Robert Plant was too. I mean, heck, that guy could sing!

Yep, Plant and Page were an incredible duo, almost verging on a Lennon/McCartney level...almost. That's a big statement for me to say because I have loved The Beatles my whole life. But yeah, Jimmy Page is probably my favorite guitarist, and I love Robert Plant's voice. He's very commanding and some of their lyrics are just so beautiful, All My Love for example.

Quote :
"While "Mad Men" mostly has an uptown look, the characters sometimes go for a walk on New York's bohemian side. One episode finds Don with a girlfriend at the Gaslight Cafe in Greenwich Village for a poetry reading and folk music. The Gaslight, now defunct, was a real hangout for Beat poets and Bob Dylan. In May a club called 116 opened at the same address, 116 MacDougal St., with classic cocktails and acoustic rock."
-from an article about Mad Men haunts
I think this was so long ago I didn't know who The Gaslight Anthem were when I watched that episode.

Heh, I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I would stay up drinking if I could but my studying would be affected. I need to get some new clothes, and it's Mother's Day tomorrow over here so need to get a card and find something for my mum too.
Motorised scooters are too slow for my style. I'd prefer to limp around
I totally approve of the JEW reference. Have you been listening to them recently then?

I don't know if I can afford to go shopping really but I'll find out when I get there. The only way to fix this problem is to get to the same continent. When are you free for a trip over?
Yup, Mother's Day. You Americans are weird for having it in May.
Hahah! It's makes me so happy listening to them (as weird as that sounds). It might be that they make me feel relaxed, and I'm happy if I'm relaxed.
