four days at campsite between Santa Cruz and Monterey. seems like a reasonable amount of time.

i feel like i didn't get shit accomplished today. do you ever feel like that, like you have days where you are super busy and you accomplish a lot, and then days where you are off and you end up doing absolutely nothing and being super lazy??

Yeah, currently im just listening to the hard girls. I have an awful time trying to get into two bands at the same time. Once I learn their music I'm going to move on to shinobu.

not anything in particular, just the usual list of things that should get done! laundry, cleaning, looking for another job, etc. not to be all mopey here, but i need some trajectory or momentum to my life. haha. (those probably aren't even the words i'm looking for, let's just blame it on the booze )

Yeah, like focus all my attention on the one, until I know them. I won't even go see a band live unless I know most ,if not all, of their lyrics.

Its feels good to have some new music to listen to, I tend to get secluded in my own little circle of music and not explore. Not that the bands i listen to are bad, just i know there is so much more out there. I've been trying to be better about that though.


Even if it was the alcohol I understood it, I hope things situate them selves. I think mainly the "chores" stuff is more of getting on a schedule. Eventually you'll be in a natural habit of doing them.

i can understand that. it's not the same going to see a band when you don't know their music. i mean, i've gotten into some good bands that way, but afterwards, it's still just not the same.

i think most people get that way with their music, as long as you still seek out new music, it's all good! one thing i really like about Gaslight is that they have had, for the most part, really good opening bands (and good covers of other good bands we may not all have heard of before, either!)

i will. again, not to venture into JimmyB territory, but having been really depressed, it's hard to see the point in ordinary chores and day-to-day things. i want to get to the important stuff, damnit! but unfortunately, that's not how the world works. stupid having-to-be-a-grown-up-stuff!
