Joyce Manor is dope but I'm not sure how the new album will be received..

I mean 9 songs for a total of 13 minutes is kinda ridiculous.

10 songs in 18 minutes is their one at the moment and it's fine by me!

I think it comes out in late feb. I went to Asian Man few weeks ago and got a chance to hear it there.

So jealous Sanam, cannot wait to hear that record. Their self titled record was absolutely incredible.

Love their Murder City Devils cover too on that split w/ Big Kids.

Never heard of these guys before, Constant Headache is a pretty swell song. Weird how their albums are shorter than some showers I've taken

EDIT2: So now about 15 minutes later I've listened to the whole album. Short and sweet. This is very good shit

Reminds me of the first time I heard Operation Ivy in 1990 ish, hopefully the energy and spirit don't get diluted by popularity. Another slam dunk from Stalls! So many great new American and British bands about at the moment.

New jam and interview. Didn't realize they had a cover of Video Killed The Radio Star right smack in the middle of the record.

Not even sure I would have recognized that song as Joyce Manor if I didn't know.

Gonna listen to it all it once in a little bit. Avoided listening to any preview besides 'Violent Inside.' I was tempted to listen to the 30 second Amazon previews but I stayed away.

I was stupid enough to do the amazon thing. Should've waited, the clips started right from the middle of the song. Didn't give me any context, but since the songs are super short I probably heard most of the record. When does it actually come out, April sometime like that?

I don't really know what to think of this album.

Both. There are some awesome songs, no doubt. But they are also some songs that just feel like unfinished demos. And then there is a cover, which is admittedly pretty cool. But it's like they had a whole year to write an LP and it's 10 minutes of new music and a cover.

Has anyone else been listening to this? I've played it a whole bunch and I'm not really disappointed with it anymore. It's pretty different from their other stuff but I think I like all the songs now.

Yep. Massively concur. They should have called it an e.p instead of an album.

I've been enjoying it though. Along with new Sharks album.

Bride of Usher sounds like a track from the Smiths.

Yeah I thought so too. I like that song a lot.
