You are correct. I'd much prefer to go back to the days when people actually phoned each other rather then everyone being able to see absolutely everything about their uneventful conversations with others

Plus, there are so many random people that add me just to up their friend count. It's so pointless. Why would you add someone you never even talk to? And then there are those people who overshare information about their lives... |

I went through and deleted about 200 people from mine because they're all people I haven't spoken to for a couple of years and probably wouldn't even stop to have a conversation with them in the street. Oversharing is a whole different issue. It seems a lot of people are just so insecure and need something like Facebook to make them feel validated. Likes = higher self-esteem apparently.

I did the same thing. I should go through and do that again, actually. Yeah, I've ran into a few people around town that added me on facebook, but didn't even say hi when I saw them in the real world. That's so rediculous, and so true. People are strange, these days. |

| Am I the only one here who actually likes Facebook?
Also, some forums do have like buttons, it's called a rep system. It's fun!

| Don't get me wrong, I enjoy talking to people on facebook that I don't see often, or friends that live in other states or whatever, I just don't like the stuff I mentioned before. |

But yeah I like Facebook because I can easily talk to lots of people at once and I can see where people have been, what they're up to etc. However I don't really spend more than maybe 20 minutes a day on there so to be it's never been a problem. This forum takes all of my time.

| Whenever Shannon gets online I feel like a kid who's about to get picked up at kindergarten by my parent or something.
My happiness is way too tied to this forum and I don't even care.

The feeling's mutual. I can't help but giggle at moments throughout the day when something from this forum randomly pops into my head. |

My happiness is way too tied to this forum and I don't even care. HELLO EVERYBODY! You have no idea how happy that statement made me, John. Plus when I got up this morning, I had a text from my boss telling me how much he appreciates everything I do for the girls and how wonderful I am. It's such a happy day! Good morning, Sarah! Who else is on here this morning? I just read all of the posts but I didn't check to see who was still here. Edit: Typing too fast, too many typos!

| Awww, isn't that nice knowing everything you do is appreciated? When that happens for me, I'm so much more motivated, and happier at work. |

Definitely! I work so hard and am extremely flexible (I feel a that's what she said coming!), coming in early, staying late, etc., and we are all so used to the routine and have been working together for so long, that sometimes we just seem like family and I don't get the recognition I should as an employee. It's nice to know that they realize how much I do.
