That's what she said.
Seriously though it's good. IT'S GOOD. Will these songs end up on Soundcloud? I want to hear them!!! Hmmm...I might do an acoustic version of it when it's finished. That would be an injustice though, it's very explosive with the drums and whatnot!

| Sounds really great, John. I'm sure both versions will be fantastic, and since I love acoustic and folk rock, I will hope to see a version like that soon. What's the song about? I need background information! | |

| Love the concept, John! That's something everyone can relate too. We all have history and internal demons that are hard to get rid of. Thank goodness we have music to save our sanity! | |

| I know right!
Once, when I was walking a great uphill on my way home to the place I lived in at the time in Santa Barbara, this old man, like really old, stood behind his fence and warned me about ghosts and how they're about to come out and haunt me. That's a story I can share with the audience in a husky voice so I can be cool just like Brian Fallon, haha.

| Haha, that's great! Then after the story you have to give the crowd a half smile, chuckle a little, and then launch into some awesome song about overcoming the ghosts in your life. It would be perfection! | |

| Don't forget about "baby honey child". I love that part of Film Noir. I even had one of the characters in my book series say that once or twice because it stuck in my head. She's an older lady, a funny former Southern debutante, so it's a little different than how Brian used it, haha! | |

| Thanks! The books are set in the 80s so I can't reference the band at all, but I had to do something! My work in progress is set in the present day, so I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up mentioning them at some point. Music is such a huge inspiration to me, I have to incorporate it into my writing. I can't use direct lyrics because of copyright laws, but I work around it by just briefly mentioning artists and songs when it fits the scene. | |

| Yeah of course.
Gaslight Anthem speak so highly of so many other bands, it's only fair that other artists do the same for them.

| TV has a way of tapping into our emotions like that. The show that makes me cry more than any other is Little House on the Prairie. But that's because it's so heartwarming. | |

| Eh, I have one of my originals almost done, should be ready for the 20th. I just need to get a rhythm done. I actually have a couple ready...I just have kind of hit a wall with writing. I mean how does one who was inspired by Bruce's Style write without it sounding too much like something a younger Bruce would have written? Like Springsteen, I want to be known as my own musician, not the next so and so. | |
