| Any fans here? I've been obsessively listening to Crazy For You the past couple of weeks.
Edit: Scratch that, obsessively listening to it since summer. This year is flying.

| Hell yes! Love Best Coast, bought Crazy for you on vinyl recently after seeing them play twice and being really impressed.
Their cover version of Nirvana's Something in The Way is awesome too.
And their videos are very cool.

| How's the live show? I would kill to see them. And I have yet to purchase the vinyl, but my brother has it and taunts me all the time about it. |

| I hate to jump on a bandwagon, and I really did enjoy her early singles, but damn, Best Coast has begun to get on my nerves. I saw BC at Coachella, and every song was a mid-tempo plodder about missing a boyfriend, wanting a boyfriend, being mad about a boyfriend, visiting a boyfriend or loving a boyfriend, and every line ended with the word “you,” until her last song, wherein she ditched rhyming the word ‘you’ against itself and simply devolved into a verse of ‘oooooooooo.’ Ridiculous. |

| Their live show is great fun. The first time I saw them was about this time last year when it was snowing outside, which was a bit strange seeing a band I associate with summer but they put on a cool intimate show.
Then I watched a live stream online of their show at a festival in America which was really cool too (although Beth looked a bit pissed off and played the songs faster and with more grit which was cool to see).
Then they played at Reading festival this August. Heard some new songs which sounded great. They're getting more and more confident and the sound was really thick and big, considering they don't have a bass player.
I'm thinking about seeing them again support Wanda Jackson in L.A for New Years Eve, as I'll be in L.A anyway and a fun way to see in the new year.
I think they share a similar nostalgic, classic songwriting vibe as Gaslight. But from the girls point of view. Which is cool.
Hope you manage to pick up the vinyl! The bigger artwork is cool.
But yeah, I can see how people would think they're a bit samey.

| I don't know about their live shows but it's not like she's trying to be the next kathleen hanna. I think you find it weird that she sings about boyfriends and stuff because it's usually done by female pop singers. For instance, I think you could say that from another point of view elsie is just brian complaining about his disastrous sentimental life when he was younger (it's just an example), bethany has just these catchy, cheesy lyrics that may sound annoying if you don't feel them particularly. | |

| There aren't enough girls who play guitar / or are in bands and I think Best Coast do what they do really well.
Also, the song Beth did with Kid Cudi and another guy from Vampire Weekend is really cool. Well worth looking up if you don't have it already. It's called 'All Summer' and the video is awesome too.
