TGA Army

TGA Army is a concept we came up with a few weeks ago, basically the idea is that if you find a site where TGA is getting trashed, post it in this forum, then other users can go to the site and either refute the comments or just add a bunch of comments to push the negative ones away. The Gaslight Anthem is an amazing band, and we need to make sure they get all the success they deserve, we don't want someone to not check them out because they saw a comment somewhere that said "Gaslight Anthem suck big hairy monkey cock" (yeah, that is a direct quote!)

So TGA Army... lets go!

So here are a few marching orders for the army:

1. Do not stoop to there level. We don't need to start name calling
2. One of the best tactics for dealing with annoying messages is just posting positive messages and ignoring the negative one
3. Sound intelligent, check your grammar.
4. While we are not an official representation of the band, it is important that we do not embarrass the band

I do think it is important that we not "e-attack" anyone. In general I want most of the TGA Army things to be just pushing down bad posts. But at the same time if that post includes something you disagree with or feel strongly about feel free to address it (ie: I really hate Slipknot as you can clearly see in the YouTube posting)

I understand if they actually go on the band's myspace or other pages, but people are entitled to their opinions. plus, it's the internet, everyone has an opinion on the internet.

That's the way I see it. I've played in different bands and some people try to make it a point to tell me we suck. I congratulate them on having their own opinion.

I love the fact that they now have haters, in my opinion that means they are beginning to make it

...or that people are starting to turn into absolute assholes, that can't accept that people don't buy into what they love.

Those people are worse.
