| I just got my hands on a very sweet darling.
The Frantone Hi-Ball Overdrive pedal. (can't link, since i'm a new member) Apparently these pedals are very very hard to come by, since they were handmade and the small company went out of business in 2009.
It was originally made for Brian, who wanted the father of all Overdrives.
Can't wait, on it's way from the UK!!

| I just looked that thing up and it looks BADASS! Let me know how it sounds. I use a Danelectro Daddy-O to boost my amp's natural distortion.

| Here's an interesting little video explaining its creation (featuring Brian himself):

| Quite promising! Can't wait for it to get in the mail and plug it in. And even, even if it sucks, this is a good investment. I heard some pedals of Frantone go 700 or more...
Apart from that, I think this is something that'll get me much closer to the right sound...

| JUst got it in the mail and played it for a half an hour. It's AMAZING!
Powerboost, better sound, much 'fuller' and different sounds & tones...
It totally blows away other overdrive effects.
I'm so happy I got it. The original receipt was stil in the box. It was bought in early 2010 at Rare & Vintage Guitars (for all you freaks, google that shop, it's paradise) in London. They paid 320 pounds for it. Not exactly cheap, right?

| That pedal has intrigued me since I found out about it. The only thing that I think it would be missing is a second stomp to boost level and/or gain. Otherwise you have Ge/Si diode or LED clipping flavors, what more could you ask for.
It's a shame about Fran going out of business. Her pedals were a pretty good deal for a little while.
