| Depends what kind of sound you're going for, I bought a Boss MT-2 a few years ago, does the job for a variety of styles but really excels at metal(i played loadsa metallica back then). I'd recommend as you can get a nice variety of sounds on it, from a little distortion to absolute truckloads. That cost around €60 so probably a bit cheaper in dollars. A friend has the superfuzz Big Muff which is pretty good too, try looking up some guitar websites for reviews of them. | |

| British pounds = more in dollars. That's probably around $100 US :\ | |

| I was thinking about entering the market for one too, same criteria as Vibes, only for a bass guitar instead- I assume this differs slightly from what Vibes is after. Any suggestions welcome. |

| I'm irish so we use the euro not pounds, thought the dollar and euro were pretty close, though I may be wrong. I don't know much about bass guitar Tomaldo but i'm sure there's websites ya can probably find through google that have reviews. | |

| Oh doheth, I got my symbols mixed up. The exchange rate is still pretty rough from dollars to euros though. 60 euros... that's probably close to $90 US. | |

| Looked up some articles for ya Vibes, this one lists some of the best pedals available, my one was mentioned, yay! It's the Boss Metal Zone if your curious. Linky: http://www.dolphinstreet.com/blog/best-distortion-pedal.php
Tomaldo I looked up a few sites for you as well, seems that most recommend either the Electro Harmonix Big Muff(http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/ElectroHarmonix-Bass-Big-Muff-Distortion-Pedal?sku=528002) or the Boss Overdrive OB3 (http://bass-guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-ODB3-Bass-OverDrive-Pedal?sku=151396) not sure what price they are in poinds but that should give you a good idea, also that website has loads of other pedals that you can browse through.
Hope it helps lads. | |

| The Metal Zone is okay. I just sold mine and used the proceeds to buy a Big Muff. It fits with me playing less like hardcore stuff and more like mid-tempo riff-rock and pop-punk. | |
