| Yeah. Always nice when I make a wrong turn and end up on some deserted downtown street too. | |

| Looks like it's the shuttle for me.
Hey (trying to steer this back on topic) did you see Frank at Bamboozle last year? I was happy he got a good crowd at his stage.

| Ackk I guess it's not a horrible option. There are other places to park besides Moumouth Park for the shuttle I believe.
I did not. I wanted to get up to the meadowlands so bad. Couldn't get off work though.

- On Friday night, my faith in the world was somewhat restored because I saw a man that most people have never heard of, who has never had a top 10 album or even a top 50 single, a man who has never been on the cover of the NME and never played on any light entertainment TV shows, a man who has remained on the small indie label he set out with, I saw him headline his own sold-out gig at Wembley Arena.

| So actually, how did all you guys find out about Frank Turner?
A UK friend of mine had mentioned he liked him, so when I saw he was opening for Gaslight in '10 I went early to make sure I caught him and was totally impressed. Didn't see him again til he headlined the Knitting Factory a few months later. Totally regret not going to that Social D/Lucero/Frank tour. I mean like, I want to go back in time and punch myself in the face.
But it's the same deal here it seems- no one knows who Frank is outside of his immediate fans, so it's weird how it's all worked out for him.

| I found out partly because of last.fm (!) and partly because the girl that got me into gaslight loved him! my obsession for gaslight and him started basically at the same moment haha
I remember listening to love ire & song first and poetry of the deed later and wondering where the hell had he been for all that time.

| I would not know the following bands if it weren't for Gaslight: Frank Turner Tim Barry Chuck Ragan Hot Water Music Dave Hause Cory Branan Lucero Sharks
I somehow had never heard of any of these people before Brian started mentioning them in interviews or they toured with Gaslight.
With Frank, the song that really won me over was I Still Believe. He did that at the Stone Pony and I couldn't understand why I couldn't find it online til I realized it wasn't out yet LOL

| Saw him supporting Gaslight in Dublin in 2009, I had listened to some of his stuff previous to seeing him that night, so I was familiar with his stuff. That was my introduction to him. Have to agree with NeverTrust... Gaslight has introduced me to so many artists, I would even go as far as saying, that they have changed my taste in music. For the better of course | |

| Totally. I never pictured myself going to acoustic shows and in some cases liking it more than metal shows I've been to. | |

| Was first aware of his existence when I missed his set supporting Green Day at Wembley Stadium. I was told after that I'd massively missed out. | |

| I was at the Pony seeing Gaslight. I was told to get there early so it was easy to bring me in by a friend who works there. I saw Franks set and was completely blown away. I remember going home and watching the youtube videos of the show for weeks. Been a fan ever since. Agree with a lot of the music I have discovered from Gaslight. It's been a pretty neat ride. | |

I somehow had never heard of any of these people before Brian started mentioning them in interviews or they toured with Gaslight. Exactly! In my case, I add The National, and in a way Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty to the list as well (I had obviously heard of them, but never got into them). So thankful for finding all these artists through this forum

Literally this. I used to love going to see big rock shows like Nickelback, Metallica etc, ahnd thought acoustic shows would be pretty dull. But as much as I still enjoy going to that sort of gig, the two best shows I have been to in my life were the Revival Tour UK and Frank Turner last Friday. By miles.
