Uncut's, Q's, NME's, MOJO's top 50s SUCK (but Classic Rock's and Clash's are ok)

Gaslight was also #2 on abolutepunk's list (http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=2065582) although gaslight there is like arcade fire on pitchfork.

american slang was jason tate's #1 album of the year, which is saying a lot for the founder/owner of the site. a lot of people will check them out from that alone!

True. My point was you expect Arcade Fire near the top of Pitchfork (because its PItchfork). In the same way, you sorta expect Gaslight near the top of Punknews or AbsolutePunk's lists.

I'm just sad Chris Fallon didn't have them #1 on his list (they were 3). I almost always agree with his reviews.

American Slang made it to No. 23 of Austrian's free music mag "Now!" Top 50 albums of the year. It is a very interesting mix ....
