| there's so much beautiful work in this thread, love it! here's some of my ink my koi (and the watermark of my tattooist, lol, need to get a better pic of that one day) this is one of my two Pearl Jam inspired tattoos - given to fly- in Eddie Vedders handwriting and the mantra above it was the first ink I ever got. unfortunately not by the best tattoo "artist", but hey, you learn from your mistakes, right? and this one is the signature of Franz Kafka, my favorite author, and one of my biggest inspirations in life. | |

| Those are so cool! I liked how you have the wording in Eddie Vedder and Franz Kafka's handwriting. That makes them really special. | |

| It feels fitting to post this here. Though this is a wee bit old. I think I did it in late June? Last big thing I got was in April and I needed something to scratch the itch. Have added some cherry red "gray" shading around it since the photo. And some overall bolding of lines. ALSO BIG UGLY ANGRY BLOOD BLOB ON THE N. Wicked. | |

| I' thinking about getting the sketch on the back of the sink or swim demos 7", I have like a half sleeve now and this would wrap around my wrist making it a 3/4 sleeve. All of my tattoos are music related. Bouncing souls heart, trio heart and skull, etc. | |

For traditional at least. Fucking apprenticed under RICK WALTERS.
Owner of what used to be Traditional Ink Tattoo in LA, if anyone's from out that way. Glad he wound up in Nashville.

Here is the first 2 hours work on it, the 'Sink or Swim' is going in the scroll and the seagull off of the SOS album cover is going at the top on the back of my shoulder sort of thing haha Is that not in the same place as the gramophone in your profile pic? How much did the gramophone one cost if you don't mind me asking

| Damn there's some awesome stuff on here. I'm thinking about getting something done myself, but it's probably not gonna be for another while. I want to be really sure first, not to mention really have to cash to spare for it, so it's not much of a priority right now. I did get started on a first very rough design idea for something though, any thoughts? (Might need to make that boombox bigger or rethink it to make it a bit more balanced, I guess?) | |

| It was kind of inspired by the HMS thing with the dog and the gramophone, but since I was born mid '90s, I figured a boombox would be more fitting for me and make it more of a personal design than a direct logo-rip-off. As for the dog, I just figured if I changed that I might as well change the dog a bit too and somehow ended up with a dobermann for this first attempt. I might change it to a german shephard or a bouvier, as those are actually dogs I've had, even if it was only for a short time/a long time ago. I love dogs.
And the text is just a bit of The Hold Steady lyric. "Certain songs got (so) scratched into our souls." 'Cause they did, I guess.
