Johnny Linden's Music

I looked around and couldn't really find an answer. If this isn't cool with everyone a moderator can delete this. I don't want to be "that guy".

But yeah, if you're interested I do have a full-length record out now. Everything is free; I'm not about to charge for my music, since I want as many people as possible to hear these songs. I'm from the same neighborhood (born in New Brunswick) as Gaslight, and I'm obviously very influenced by them. I'm told often that I sound like Brian, but I can guarantee you that's just the way I sing. I wear my influences on my sleeve, but I'm not pretending to be someone I'm not. So if you get the chance, give it a listen and tell me what you think.

I got no problem with doing it. As for your music it sounds like you have some potential.

actually i don't have any problems with it, it's just another way for getting some new and maybe real awesome music. it's a little like our mixtapes.

man, there are so many great bands in Austria. on Saturday I played blue jeans and white t-shirts with an awesome Upper Austrian band (I played guitar). sadly, this was their farewell show......

Belle Mead. That's awesome that you've met 1/2 of Gaslight. I almost don't want to because I'd like to think I'll end up opening for a Brian acoustic show or something one day. It would be cool to meet him that way as opposed to now, which would be as a Bambi-eyed fanatic.

haha yeah well you'd one-up me either way. i was deaf from the show (right in front of the baricade and speakers) and somewhat stoned. plus in awe that i was actually getting HUGGED by alex..... so i'm pretty sure no matter how you met them, it would be more impressive than that xD

I think I'll do Here's Looking At You, Kid tonight and post it on here. I'll be using my new slapback echo effect I've been working up, so it should sound pretty cool. Either that or Navesink Banks. Not sure yet.

I've really enjoyed everything you've written and put up. The TGA influence is pretty clear, especially with The New American Sessions, but that's certainly not a bad thing. All the songs are really well written and crafted. I'll definitely continue to keep up with the stuff you put online.
