i also have to concur with benny's thoughts on the difference between holding to your punk ideals at 16 versus in your mid to late 20s. in fact i agree with his sentiments on punk in general. its sad what some people consider punk.
benny's interviews are always a good read.

and did the author of the article think about spell check? bryan? haha.

"But we have a very serious filtration process in the band. There’s a
lot of stuff no one ever hears. And there were songs, while we were
writing, where we just kind of said, “Nah dude, that’s too close to the
edge.” We had to develop some sort of insight into the middle ground.
But I’m over-critical. I usually hate (new songs) for three months
after they come out.”

I'm very interested in those songs, even if they aren't that good. Still makes an interesting listen. B-sides record over a few years?

yeah, maybe a few years down the road we'll get to hear some lost gems on a b-side release...
i hope they do more new songs or cover songs as the b-sides for future singles, as opposed to just another cut off the record.
