it's not a soundboard recording. i was standing about 12 feet above the soundboard though.

Downloaded it again and it worked fine. Move along , nothing to see here!!! Had a listen and the sound quality is really good.

Tony that was a great rip! to be honest I think it sounded better than the actual show (maybe I was standing in a bad spot)

That's the benefit for feeling like you're too old to crowd your way up front against the rail. The sound always sucks up there because you're usually behind or between (or both, for that matter) the PA stacks, so you don't get a true mix and never hear the vocals that well. the only time i go up front these days is when there isn't balcony option. i can clamp my camera to a railing and hang my recorder from the railing and get clean recordings without handling noise or anything like that.

I'm with you, Tony (I'm about your same age). I was in the balcony for the first time at 9:30 during this show, and I will always be up there from now on. Great view, more space, and the sound was spectacular.

I listened to the whole show and it was great.

A bit off topic but what's the best Hot Water Music album? I feel like I'm supposed to know them.

I have Caution, the album with Trusty Chords and really enjoy it. But I also have Fuel for the Hate Game and The New What Next, which I couldn't really get into. I found those two albums more hardcore, but Caution was more punk. That's why I rathered Caution.

"Caution" for sure, and "No Division." The two best, in my book. But I love everything they've done. There's the fire and fury and raw emotion of youth in the stuff up to "No Division," which was kind of a transitional record, and then the smoldering coals of maturity and ancient ache in the later stuff.

I have a Hot Water Music live show on my site, as well. It's a ways back in the archives, though. You might have to click back a few pages. The quality is solid, but not as good as my newer stuff.

can i share this with that board? even though that place is deader than the hardback and only bots spam it nowadays... lol but some regulars still lurk it for new material.

and to simo, get all the epitaph records, A Flight and a Crash, Caution, and The New What Next, and the bside- Till The Wheels Fall Off, then work your way with No Division and Never Ender.

Then go more onto Fuel For the Hate Game, Forever and Counting and Finding the Rhythms.

Just get them all, you won't be disappointed. lol

by all means, do share it. but i ask that you link to my site and the HWM specific post, rather than a directly download link. helps me with stats and whatnot, so i can plan for bandwidth, etc.
