Hahaha, how's it going, I kinda figured that there'd be somebody from Canada on this forum, but from Calgary eh?
I'm originally from Red Deer so I don't really buy into the whole Calgary vs Edmonton thing, but you a Flames or Stamps fan? Not much to buy into. Calgary is waaay better. Easy as that Flames fan hell ya. Stamps not so much. I support them and what not but the CFL is still kind of a joke Haha other than West Ed there's not a whole lot to do here...tho it's summer so we got the festivals for a bit. I'm an Oilers fan...we're rebuilding....got the Bulin Wall...hope we make the playoffs next year.

Where in Canada are you? I am from Edmonton. I lived in Edmonton for almost a year way back in 2004/2005. And my wife just finished her Masters from the UofA where I worked for 4months as an EFL teacher. Actually, have some pretty good friends there. SCTV was filmed there! Can't get better than that IMO! In brief ... Welcome Edmontonian!

| I wonder hockey fans... what teams do you despise, if any? The teams you love to see get thwomped. And you can even respect their skill, but still wanna see them beat. | |

| Oilers, Maple Leafs, Canucks, Red Wings, Canadiens. I respect the skill of the Red Wings but despise all the rest. Skill or no skill. Most have none anyway. Lots of Canadian teams i know but its largely because Canadian hockey fans are assholes. As you can probably tell from me Toronto and Montreal is not the center of the hockey world so those fans just need to relax | |

| ^You are my hero I feel the same way. Not quite as strongly about the Canadian teams, but they still personify the "holier-than-thou" attitude I despise. The Red Wings are just my arch-nemesis, but I was going for them against the Pens last year. This year, I felt it was the Pens chance, and it worked out! | |

| I despise the Wings too...I love Stevie Y and a few of their past players but yeah I was pleased when the Pens took the cup. | |

| For awhile I couldn't stand the Stars (sorry tdawg) or the Avalanche...only cause in the late 90's we'd always be up against them when we barely made it into the playoffs. | |

In brief ... Welcome Edmontonian! Thanks, That is prettty cool. I went to the U of A briefly for sciences but just finished a degree in Applied Psych, and will most likely pursue a masters some time in the near future. What is it about U of A women? Been dating my gf for pretty close to two years.
