Masked Intruder - S/T - Gimmicky and fun. Best pop punk release of the year so far. Way better than Teenage Bottlerocket's new record.
Sundials - New record is awesome and streaming for free on Punknews.org. Jump on it so you can say you heard them when. It rules!
And of course Spraynard and Algernon Cadwallader cause they both broke up....

I just streamed the new Sundials, sounds good so far. They always grow on me though. Right when I think I am done with one of their releases then I'll find the whole thing stuck in my head for weeks on end.

The National - Boxer (AGAIN!)
I finally figured out what is wrong with The National albums, you always need to listen the whole album for atleast 5 times until you understand it!

Robert A. Lowe/Lichens
Probably one of the most talented men at it right now.

very cool, didn't know him till now, definitly have to check him out has he done an album yet ?
AND he reminds me a lot of John Butler, i think he's up there with john being some of the best guitarists nowadays
this set of the John Butler Trio at fuji rock is one of the best live performance of any band i've ever seen. everytime i feel sad or tired out i watch them perform "Funky Tonight" and i'm happy so yeah, that's what i'm listening to
the drum-solo is a masterpiece! :

I saw Lichens open up for Battles and Fucked Up...in 2006 or 07, not sure which. The performance of his that I saw super underwhelming, this one you posted though is pretty interesting.

He's got three albums and a split out, though since 2007 he's been working and touring with Om.
I love Fucked Up but I think he's a terrible pair for that setting. I could see his set being pretty lackluster in that case.

Seeing Pink Eyes fart on some kids face after seeing Lichens was quite the change of pace. It was a really great show all around though. Def a bizarre pairing.

Lately I've been listening to lots of Frank Turner, and Mumford and Sons. And of course TGA.
