| My mix can be found here. I haven't added a narrative to each song individually because there isn't much I can say, but hopefully that won't alter the experience. Enjoy! | |

| We were promised jetpacks - Quiet little voices 5/10 I'm not much for this type of modern British power pop (It makes me think of Skins and fans of Skins and I don't like that), but the chorus is great and the song's got a nice drive to it for sure. I can imagine this song is a blast live, both from the perspective of a listener and a musician. Dananananaykroyd - Infinity milk 6/10 More uppity British pop, hm. Not a huge fan of this either, but I love the hardcore tendencies. There's a Modern Life is War type of desperation to the music that I appreciate. The bridge even sounds a bit like Converge, and you can never go wrong with that. The View - Grace 8/10 This is great, great music. It sounds very 80s inspired, which I like. The song arrangement is simple, the production is big and echo-y, the vocals are layered with harmonies. I'm not a huge fan of them so I'm not sure if I'm entitled to make the comparison but it sounds like a really energetic The Cure to me. Really good song, I'll check out this band some more. Twin Atlantic - Lightspeed 4/10 Not my thing at all. I listened to it and that was that. Biffy Clyro - Semi Mental 7/10 I've heard these guys a few times but this is the best I've heard so far! It's got a nice, heavy feeling to it. I used to be a metalhead so I have a sincere love of heavy riffs. Nice drive, nice chorus! Frightened Rabbit - Living in colourGreat, great band. I'm getting into them more and more and this song is definitely just fueling my interest. This song is awesome, it's got American Slang's chord progression and the folk energy of any Mumford & Sons song. I have a feeling this is a live favorite. Mogwai - Mexican grand prix 3/10 To me this song seems like an intro song that never really takes off. Not my thing. There will be fireworks - Harmonium song 9/10 Sounds like The Horrible Crowes and Tom DeLonge decided to write a song together. I love it. All in all a nice mixtape, I got some good recommendations for sure. Have this gif of an awesome dog. | |

| I really enjoyed this man!
Scottish music is great. I'm already a big fan of WWPJ & Frightened Rabbit (was scared you were using the song I'm using on my mixtape) and I've seen The View live a few times, Grace is probably one of my favourites of theirs.
Been meaning to listen to Mogwai for ages too so that was interesting. | |
