TGA Live in NJ this Dec......

Im old , and am able to reflect on moshing of ye olden days. The time was late 70s early 80s and riot inciting bands like Black Flag , Bad Brains Dead Kennedys just to name a few would roll thru town and the crowd , music , club were in a word dangerous. The anger and intensity were real.
My advice to anyone at any show. Look out for yourself , look out for your neighbor and offer help to anyone who may be in need of it.

Anyone stay to see The Street Dogs at Asbury Lanes Sat night ?? One of the best bands and shows ive seen this year !! Their 2010 self titled cd STREET DOGS is a highly recommended.

Street Dogs are a good band. Mike McColgan is a great singer but savin hill was and is still my favorite album from them, everything after didn't top it imo.

We had tickets for Street Dogs and Jesse Malin - ended up going to Stone Pony first because Asbury Lanes was closer to the hotel, and Jesse of course didn't go on until super late. We were also hanging around trying to get a Gaslight poster from the show, so by the time we got to Asbury Lanes the SD show was over, but it was still a great place to hang and drink.

What a great weekend, I'm ready to move out east.

I parked right by the Lanes and was totally confused about whether or not things were actually going on inside because the lights outside were off. We ended up eating at Wonder Bar and chilling then I went home after Last Call. PS was psyched the Fairey mural was still up even though it looks to be on its last legs.

My friends came up for the show. It was raining outside after. I said "Hey! You're standing in the Jersey rain!" #humor well it was funny at the time.

My friend and I were leaving the venue going back to his car and we saw Bruce leave the parking lot on the side of the venue. We went over and met a group of fans who met Brian at their last Asbury show at the Stone Pony and said they waited for an hour after the show and got to meet him on his way out (they also knew Brian was still in the building because they knew which car was his; creepy, i know). We stuck around and an hour later Brian and Alex got in their car, were leaving, and saw the small group of fans waiting so they stopped and talked to us and signed our tickets. Such nice guys. Brian even took a CD from this kid who was in a local band and drove off listening to it.

So I did the natural thing and stood next to them and filed in with them. Turns out they were family and close friends of the band, and I started making friendly with them and this guy I was upfront with and no one kicked me out. I hung out with the band till they started to leave. Greatest night of my life. My avatar's the only picture I got before my phone died.

@ Debonair hahaha im glad the third try worked. I showed brian the picture when I met him and that sparked up conversation. By the way the second number I sent it to answered back the next day. They were very inquisitive to say the least hahahahahaha
