I'll come right out and admit it guys, I'm only on here because TGA
posted a Myspace Bulletin about the Vinyl 59 Sound competition, and I
want in on that baby.

So just some basic info;

I'm Deano,
from Britain. First heard about The Gaslight Anthem on a forum, and it
was the name that got my attention more than anything. I did a Myspace
search for them, listened to the four songs they had up, and to quote a
line from my favorite band, 'I heard it like a shot from my skull to my
brain.' It just sounded so cool, so fresh, and I bought Sink And Swim
and Senor & The Queen immediately. A few months later, out came The
59 Sound and it just established The Gaslight Anthem as my favorite
band, probably the best album I've heard from top to bottom.

I've
never seen them live unfortunately - they've only done five UK dates
(two of which were at Reading/Leeds, for which I was screwed out of
tickets) and the other three dates were too far to travel by myself
(none of my friends are into TGA despite my constant plugging and
distubing love affair with them).

Anyway, I'll finish this by
saying the forum is a great idea, I'm greatly looking fowards to the
Johnny Cash tribute album including TGA, and it's cool that you guys
have done this. Nice!

I knew people would sign up just for the contest, and I am sure that many will leave after tomorrow... but hopefully there are a bunch that will stick around too

also, there are quite a few of us on this side of the pond. None of the admins here live in the states... I live in Germany, Stalls is in England and Kropo is in Qatar!
