Incredibly excited. Does anyone remember for American Slang how much time it was between when they said they were done recording and we got the first single? Or even an idea of what the songs are.....Anyway I'm gonna be crushed if this doesn't get a summer release

I was wondering the same thing. I can't wait until we get some solid info on this record, like song titles, release date, etc. So, so excited!

They're way ahead of schedule in terms of a summer release in comparison to American Slang:

I think American Slang (the song) was released towards the end of March so my fingers are crossed that we might hear a new song at a similar point this year.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say either a May or July release. I don't see them releasing another album exactly two years after Slang.

Why do you think the release date of American Slang would play a role in the timing of the new record? I don't see what one has to do with the other.

From a marketing standpoint it just doesn't look very good for whatever reasons marking people have. I'm not an advertising expert or anything but just based on what I've seen from almost every other band I follows releases they wouldn't release a new album in the same month as a recent previous release. For whatever reason I don't think they like doing that.

I'm going to predict a release date of May 15th

I know that is really hopeful but I'm hoping my positive thinking will pay off!

I've been lurking this thread for a while, finally decided to sign up so I can take part in the excitement.
I can see a May release being possible, with a single in late March.

Welcome to the forum, Tom1911! I really hope you're right about a May release date. That would be the perfect way to head into the summer!
