- I never liked their first two EP's but I'm just giving them another chance now because I thought surely I must be missing something if there is all this hype. Only 4 or 5 songs into the new record but I'm loving it. I think you can hear The Clash influence more in this album as opposed to their previous efforts. Top stuff!
Cool! Glad you've been won over. Check listening... it gets better and better. I love their music almost as much as Gaslight. Was hanging out with the guys last night at the Pure Love gig in Birmingham. Really nice dudes. Hometown show next Friday too which I'm already excited about. Their gigs in Leamington are always rowdy and FUN!

| Yeah not sure why this didn't appeal to me last year, gone back to The Joys of Living and I'm really enjoying that as well. To me they sound like just the right mix between Tribes and King Cannons, with the obvious Clash thing riding over that. It's a fantastic sound. | |

| The first time I heard Sharks I thought I was listening to Joe Strummer come back from the dead. Trains is a perfect example of that..it's insane how much the vocalist sounds like him! I was so freaked out! |

| Yeah I think there's a hint of Joe Strummer but also a large amount of The Replacements' Paul Westerberg and even some more indie singers on some of their songs from No Gods. Even some Joy Division on the song More Blue. Or Blur / The Cure on the song Patient Spider.
None of which is a bad thing at all. I'm a huge fan of SHARKS.
Going to see them for a 9th time on Sunday and can't wait.
@Rock bus - thanks for posting te link to your review. I enjoyed that!

| such a good band, saw them supporting gaslight and gallows, absolutely top performances, definately go see them if you get chance, got talking to the guys when they were on the merch stand at the end of the gallows gig and they were all really nice guys, told them i was gonna buy a shirt from their site 'cos I only ad 4 quid on me and they were flogging them for 8, but they refused to let me go home empty handed and sold me a white T-shirt and some badges for £4 and 2 cigs, good lads.. Got to see them in York earlier on this year at a TINY venue called Stereo and they absolutely tore the place a new one. | |

| I don't get it, they used two producers in a row that don't fit their style of music. Are they doing it for cred? Both usually produce harder styles of music. | |

Even so No Gods sounded brilliant production-wise so I have no complaints. I don't know much about Lewis Johns but hopefully the production will be as good as No Gods.

| Very excited about this new album, Sharks has become one of my favorite bands. Would be very impressive if they can come out with another album as good as No Gods with only a year in between. | |

| Saw Sharks in Cambridge last night and got to hang out with Ian Perkins as well (we're both kind of local). Anyway, Sharks will be supporting Blink-182 on their Australian tour in February and will go on to play Soundwave. The new album should be out at the end of April. | |
