Gaslight to headline Radio City Music Hall 9/30

i put this in fall tour. its insane. they need somebody pretty big to open

I'll be there and I'm gonna bring a bunch of friends from my fraternity and school too!

its great for them. but i think its pretty fuckin' weird. like the hold steady playing the beacon theater. cant imagine either band at such a formalish place.

edit-i can imagine, just strange to though.

they have been a band for 3 years and in september they will have already played Carnegie Hall and headline Radio City. it just doesn't get any wilder than that.

Yeah. I'm actually kinda worried about this. Seems like RCMH will need a lot of security to keep the fans in check, and I'd rather not see this in the news due to some big fan/security alteration.

Don't forget presale starts tomorrow (friday) at 12pm i believe. This is going to be crazy. Kind of far away too, its going to be a long few months figuring out how this show is going to work. It will be interesting to see how they add to the show. I think it would be kinda cool if they do a lot of acoustic stuff which would be very fitting for the venue, so we shall see.

Hell yeah! ORCH, row KK, seat 413. About 8 rows from the center of the stage!

There's actually orchestra pit seating for this show -- so the first 4 rows in the center are rows AAA through DDD.
 
Row KK in the center are great seats though.

They must be pretty good seats, because you can still get centre stalls seats (row C) on Ticketmaster. I wish I could go (I nearly hit that 'continue' button to book them).

though i do think the souls would be incredibly awesome and somewhat appropriate.
fake problems and menzingers is actually crazy.
these two relatively small bands get to play a few of their songs at fucking Radio City.
completely mind blowing.

not so sure I buy this. here's why:

-neither band (or the gaslight anthem) have it listed on their sites. you'd think if these bands were playing radio city, they'd be more than willing to tell people about it

-the show seems too big and too special to bring along the same bands they just finished a tour with

-the tour with fake problems and the menzingers wraps up a week and a half before radio city. it'd be strange to do a sting of shows together, split up after wisconsin, then get back together for one show in nyc 11 days later.

of course I could be wrong and if so, I'd love to see the menzingers.

more date are gonna be announced between then. no 11 day gap. just wait till they play the region this leg then they announce them. i dont think the menzingers (who are great saw them play a vfw hall a year or two ago) and fake problems are gonna be on the radio city date. but hey, its not up to me.
