I converted a good friend of mine to the 59 Sound last week. Maybe I'll go with him. My girlfriend is bummed they play large venues now.

Decided against going to the Oxford show in favour of an extra day to explore Berlin, but have just booked a ticket for the Melkweg. Looking forward to it, never been to the 'Dam before!

FUCK. It's sold out and I'm too late. If anyone has a spare ticket I really would like to buy it from you.

Someone notified me that people sometimes return their tickets so that new tickets come free. Just try everyday via the melkweg site and maybe you'll be lucky like me

Dammit, since i'm a poor student i just got money to get me some tickets. Bummed to notice it sold out already. Now i just hope someone will return their tickets...

It was awesome, although it took four songs for the band and me to warm up.

They played everything from American Slang except for Orphans and Old Haunts.

They played The '59 Sound, Old White Lincoln, Film Noir, Great Expectations, Cowgirls, Here's Lookin, Casanova Baby and Backseat.

I got in the venue during 59 Sound because the person I was buying my ticket from got there too late. Could someone tell what songs I missed? I think at least American Slang en Old White Lincoln...

Yeah, it was absolutely awesome and Melkweg was a fantastic venue. I saw them at Hurricane Festival 2009 and 2010, but it was my first TGA-headlining-concert.
"We did when we were young" blew me away.
Already got my tickets for Oct. 27, when they will appear at Große Freiheit in Hamburg.

Some photos I took at the Melkweg gig are in this album, taken with an Olympus SP510UZ, was just in front of soundboard so relied on the zoom lens with varying results. It didn't help that I had two of the tallest people in the venue in front of me chatting and ignoring the show for the most part...
