Epic. | |

| It's a game...available on the PS3, wii xbox 360.
They release new downloadable content for the game every week for a price so you can play along with the songs/sing to them etc. with instruments made for the console/game.
This I guess, means you'll be able to download a few Gaslight songs and play along with them...which will be epic since I bought Rock Band just a couple of weeks ago.

| This makes my autographed GUITAR HERO controller even more obscure!
Can I use a guitar hero controller on Rock Band?

Pretty much everything is compatible. If you have it on ps3 or 360 anyway. Just best to make sure with the link above.
Only a few cases in which they aren't compatible.
Who's it autographed by anyway?

| Nice...How'd you get them signed?
What console you got rock band/getting it on, if it's 360 then they should all work fine.
EDIT - Guessing 360 from the gutars...?

| actually I didn't own Guitar Hero at all when I got those signed... one is for the xbox the other is for the PS3... sadly, I own a Wii. But because I work such insane hours (when I am in cycle, I spend 9 days at work and get 1 day off) that I haven't played it in months!
I got them signed because I am obsessed with music (3 bands in particular TGA, AM! and Rancid) but I can not play any instruments (unless you count the recorder, but I haven't jammed on that since 3rd grade) so I asked them to sign these since I can use them rather than just a guitar that I would never play.
In an odd coincidence did you notice that both bass players (Andrew and Alex) signed the guitar saying that they love me? ...awkward.

| as for getting them signed, all I did was ask. First my wife and I were visiting the Netherlands and went to see AM! We were hanging out with Andrew (bass player from AM!) after the show just drinking some scotch and beer (we got pretty drunk) and I asked him... oddly enough he told me that night that the Guitar Hero people had asked to use an AM! song and they said told them no. The TGA one I got in Nurenberg, we were just all bullshitting back stage and I asked if it would be cool if I went back to my car to grab the controller and they all laughed and said ok. (my wife insists that I mention that she was 6 months pregnant at the time!) | |

| But is it just for Xbox360 or PS3 as well? I'm seriously thinking of buying rock band just for this but I've got a PS3. | |

| It'll be both.
All songs are available to download on all networks, I can hardly see Gaslight being the only band to be 360 exclusive.
Those pictures are awesome as well Scott...I was just wondering whether you took the guitars to the show, getting them from the car makes sense, would have been an odd item to take into a gig during the show.

| These tracks are for Rock Band Network, a new initiative which will be launching in the coming weeks. Bands/labels create (or outsource the creation of) their own RB tracks which are then submitted for peer review and eventually sale on the Rock Band Network. This will allow for an almost limitless amount of DLC.
However, all songs will be on the 360 first and select songs will be made available at a later date for PS3 and wii. My guess is the Gaslight songs would be, but you never know.
Bottom line, if you don't own Rock Band, and you want to buy it for these Gaslight songs, buy a 360

| When I saw this on Side One's site, I nearly lost it. I've been hoping forever that they would put some Gaslight stuff on RB. Can't wait to play Old White Lincoln and do vocals (which I surely will mess up) haha. Oh and e7c, what a rad picture of you with Gaslight buddy. | |

| How did I miss this news? I'd been hoping they'd get official DLC at some point, but I guess this isn't too bad. Hopefully will draw in even more fans.
Only problem is it would probably cost over $300 to get a compatible console and the game. Not like I have a whole lot of time for rock band either. But still pretty freakin awesome.

The Rock Band music catalog is about to get a lot bigger. We’ve made our professional authoring tools available to bands, studios and record labels everywhere, and musicians everywhere are busy turning their best material into Rock Band gameplay. For music fans, this means more content from bands of all shapes and sizes is on its way to a console* near you!
* For the Xbox 360 Select songs may also appear on PS3
Direct from the Rock Band website, perhaps it will just be 360 exclusive then.

| Basically the Rock Band network lets bands author their own songs, using the XNA on the Xbox 360. So the most popular songs will most likely be ported over to the PS3, and by Rock Band 3, ps3 users should get everything. Anyways I'd expect Gaslight Anthem to be popular, so we should get the tracks on the ps3 |

| Is there a specific copy of Rock Band you need in order to buy these songs, or is any version compatible (given it's on the 360)? | |
