'2 song sampler' promo CD

I heard some while back that copies of a Gaslight Anthem CD sampler were given away outside a Bruce Springsteen gig in Chicago on 20 September 2009.

I have finally got hold of it, so here is a picture. The tracks are 'The '59 Sound' and 'Old White Lincoln'. The disc comes in a card sleeve, which feature press comments on the back. I don't know how many were pressed.

Any idea who's idea it was to distribute these outside a Springsteen gig?

presumbably the label's; the Gaslight Anthem crop up quite often on BTX, the Springsteen forum, so it was an obvious choice; I don't know where else they have been made available
