| I see they're also playing Hard Rock Calling with TGA, and they got a good review in the Sunday Times magazine at the weekend.
Are they big in the States (in relative terms)? Has anyone on board got any of their stuff? And most importantly, do you reckon they're good (if you've heard them, obviously)?

| I think I saw them on the list of bands playing the Newport Folk Festival, but otherwise I've never heard of them. | |

| They have a song as iTunes free download this week. In the UK anyway, I don't know if it's the same everywhere else - I guess not. Quite nice acousticy guitar. | |

| I've seen a bit of press around, but lazily can't be bothered to listen. I think it's literally because I can't like two bands called The 'Somehing' Anthem | |

I know what you mean. "Anthem" isn't exactly a common word in band names. Tis kinda odd.

| Just had a listen now. They sound alright, good 'falling asleep' music. Although i think their band name was a bad choice because it's just to similar to TGA, who are going to be massive and make these gusy seem like they copied them. | |

| I literally got into TGA and The Low Anthem in the same week. I have their latest album, and its quite good. Good balance between soft, beautiful folk-ish songs and more up-tempo ones. They do a cover of "Home I'll Never Be".
I'm most likely going to see them on Nov 6 with Blind Pilot. I'll try and let you know how it is.

| I ran across the Low Anthem a few months ago, but the few songs I listened to didn't really catch my ear. Bob Boilen on NPR's All Songs Considered (excellent show) loooves them though. | |

| Really grown to love their album, think there's a place in everyone's life for two Anthems (they're pretty different) | |

| Just heard a song by them and it was really good. I agree their name was a bit hard for me, but if the music is good enough I won't worry about it. | |

| They are very different so I will let the name slide. There album is great and they where pretty swish live. They had a awesome set time and was just perfect for chilling in the sun with a cider. Maybe it was the cider that made it awesome who knows. | |
