| Friend of mine (also a TGA fan), got married a few weeks ago and on her honeymoon, she and her hubby picked up this for me: The Killers - Sam's Townvinyl picture disc! Way cool, I can't wait to give it a listen. I hear the sound quality isn't as good on these, and I'm a little worried b/c the packaging is just a plastic sleeve (not as sturdy as normal cardboard). But I think it's awesome either way | |

| The last 24 hours have been so great for me and vinyl... first off I purchased 6 records at a yard sale:
Bob Dylan "Blood on the Tracks" Bob Dylan "Greatest Hits 2" Crosby and Nash "Wind on the Water" The Doobie Brothers "Best of the Doobies" The Steve Miller Band "Greatest Hits 1974-78" The Outlaws "Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jessi Colter, Tompall Claser" Eric Clapton "Slowhand" Jim Croce "Photographs and Memories, His Greatest Hits"
and the best purchase...
THE CLASH "COMBAT ROCK" ---hell yeah!
none of these are the rereleased versions and they are all in great condition!
but wait there's more!
My receiver came in the other day and while I am still researching what speakers to get, my friend let me have a set of his, so right now I am sitting in my guest bedroom on a lazy-boy recliner, drinking nice scotch and listening to great music!
Not like anyone cares, but the first song I played was "Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts" followed by the entire '59 Sound, and then 1930. I have also heard The Clash tonight and right now Against Me! is on... today rules.

that's a great album and it would have been great to own a test pressing. (then again, I don't need to tell you what you already know)

| Blacklisted has switched up every album. Easily the most creative hardcore band out on the scene right now. Cannot wait to hear it. Heavier than Heaven was in my top releases of 2008, I have a feeling this one will be no exception. | |

- I just got this the other day:

Anyhow, it looks and sounds amazing. Really good quality vinyl, packaging, and of course, perfect music! i've got this albeit not on vinyl. it really opened my eyes to what a great band they were. obviously i had heard of them but i had never really listened to them. some of my favourite songs are 'trampled under foot' and 'houses of the holy' and of course the classic 'nobody's fault but mine'. i'd really say this is one album everyone needs to own

| For sure, for sure. It's really good collection. The only songs I really like that they didn't include on it are In My Time of Dyin' and Tangerine. But pretty much all my other favs are there, and they sound great!
I hope they keep releasing stuff like this, just to make a big deal out of Led Zeppelin because the new generation is growing up without hearing them.
