| Hello , im Shaun aka Holland from England im 21 , ive been listening to the gaslight anthem for just over a year saw them at Leeds festival last year and i am dying to see them again. At this moment in time they are the band that i can relate to more than any other . The music scene here in the UK is pretty terrible at the moment , too many dodgy disco noises and music channels are littered with Nickelback videos so if anyone has any suggestions of new bands to check out etc i am all ears. | |

| glad to have you hear... be sure to check out the mixtape area if you are trying to learn new bands... Jukebox Romeo's mixtape had a band called Apologies, I have none, that I am really into now just because of him | |

| Holland, hey! I'm from UK too. But you're very wrong about the scene, you just gotta look!
Mainstream is pretty awful but there are tons of amazing bands out there
Try some of these: Apologies, I Have None Frank Turner The Steal Bangers Calvinball The Arteries The Don Ramos Players The Apostates THE CUT-UPS The King Blues The Skints
Sorry If I've gone overboard haha!

| Welcome to the forum. I couldn't agree more about the UK (mainstream) scene being awful. I flicked through the music channels out of half curiosity half boredome the other day, and if you like Poppy R&B and Dance then you're sorted. If you don't, well.... |

| flick thru the music channels in the us too, its the same thing probly, or a variation on the same thing. most mainstream music is crap and always will be. anyways, welcome, and if youre liooking for other bands, just look in the "other bands" section, ive gotten into a few bands from that. | |

| Hello again!! After a 6 month absence I thought it as fitting to re-introduce myself. So hi guys I have been on a cruise ship for the last 6months playing in a covers band, it was pretty awesome. I have been starved of live music and the internet was not easy to access. So what have I missed, any new bands people can suggest? Any Gaslight news I have missed? Are any of the people still here that i used to talk to? | |

| Hey Shaun, good to have you back. You have probably missed s few things. The most recent onces are the MATZ "release" and that Brian is doing a Q&A exclusively for the forum. Now go listen to that Molly and her Zombies | |

I totally second this. Social Distortion are fantastic, even if Mike Ness is in PETA now... And given that I've already flogged them elsewhere - Violent Soho from Brisbane are pretty rad

| Hello there, thanks guys, I have listened to most of the MATZ stuff i think. Love Sketchy at the moment as the lyrics are pretty very relatable. I will be setting up a little studio at home soon so expect music | |
