| Here is another link to a The Riot Before album, and many other not too shabby albums - from Quote Unquote records.

http://www.mediafire.com/?gongmlytmzt is a The Riot Before album, who I've been hearing alot about recently. (Jukebox's Mixtape) no, i don't mess around with torrents, and i don't think i've uploaded anything for this site. i get a lot of stuff from the Up the Punx section of streetlamps.perdomocore.com, but i search for albums on blogsearch.google.com, shareminer.com, and a few other sites like those that Fear Like Us album, for instance, i was actually unable to find anywhere, so i requested it from this one guy (tobias19, who i think is on this site as Tobi), and he happened to have it you really never have to buy music. i listen to bands that no one's heard of, but still there are enough links online that i've been able to find almost anything. it's really quick and easy when you know how to search for stuff and Fists Buried In Pockets is such a good album. other than Election Day, every track is outstanding

| I like Election Day! Like Redneckties, it's raw, and you're right, it is a great album. A really great band - just found a song from their LIGHTHOUSE EP called 'I'm Wrong' - do you have it? I'll share if you like. | |

| yeah, i have it, thanks. i actually have two versions of it, one of them's a demo or something. as for Election Day, i think lyrically it's great, but it kinda drags and isn't all that exciting. i don't skip it, i'm just not too broken up when it's over | |

| Thanks for getting me into this stuff. While we're talking about acoustic, did any of you guys listen to the Kid Dynamite tribute stream? The SOS cover is acoustic and it's sick. I wish Jason would have done something like that in OnGuard. | |

| Great mixtape, there were no songs that i dislike, I really liked the Apologies, I Have None song and the acoustic Selfish Masquerade, but my favorite was definitely Words Written Over Coffee, ive really gotten into The Riot Before now. Also gotta love any Dylan, Springsteen, Joe Strummer, and Frank Turner stuff. | |

| Thanks for the mixtape Jukebox. Here's my thoughts. 1. Danny Miller - "Nights": I like the guitar, the pull of and hammer on bit. And your voice goes well with the song. Pitty about the quality of the recording not being the best, but don't worry. Good Job! 2. Frank Turner - "Father's Day": This song got me into him! I downloaded 3 of his albums a while back and had a listen, but didn't really hook onto it. But after hearing this song, and loving the the song and the lyrics, I had another listen and now I'm alot more into Frank Turner! Thanks. 3. Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution - "It's a Wonderful Life": I'd heard of these guys, through streetlight and catch 22 (love the album and song keasbey nights) but I hadnt had a listen of them. Its alright, similar to Catch and Streetlight. 4. Social Distortion - "Angel's Wings (Acoustic)": I see what you mean by feeling th emotion in his voice! Its not bad, prefer the original though. (but I've always liked a bit of distortion) 5. Apologies, I Have None - "Bent Strings": Great song! I've downloaded Done by them aswell, I think everyone's getting into them! Any ideas where i can find a link to their new EP. I feel pretty dodgy downloading it when the Dan from the badn posted here, but if i like it, I'll buy it later! 6. The Riot Before - "Words Written Over Coffee": Good songs, its got me into The Riot Before, I've downloaded their album Fist beried in pockets and the lighthouse one. There pretty good :p 7. State Radio - "The Story of Benjamin Darling Part 1": I mentioned this before, but anyway. I downloaded these guys album Us against the crown like the saturday before your mixtape came out. So i was pleasently suprised to find another song by them on the mixtape. And the story telling is b-e-a-u-tiful! 8. Bruce Springsteen - "No Surrender (Live)": Not bad by Bruce, but I'm still a 'born to run' man. 9. Against Me! - "Beginning In an Ending": I think your descriptions perfect. It's alright. And at the end its awesome! But, still I'm weird with these guys. I love New Wave, but I cant really get into their albums before that. There's a few good tracks on each, but i just dont like that acoustic stuff they've got in their. There first album i downloaded was new wave, so i only caught on with their mainstream release, but did they sell out? I know lots of original AM! fans dont like new wave cos they've lost the acoustic stuff, but I don't reckon they've sold out. But i guess that's because I reckon new Wave's their best. What do all you other guys reckon? 10. Rumbleseat - "Restless": This songs alright. I don't love Chuck ragans voice with acoustic stuff, but in the chorus he sounds alright. 11. Tim Barry - "Wait At Milano": Nice peaceful song. This is one of those last songs you listen to in bed before turning off your ipod and going to sleep. 12. Sublime - "Pool Shark (Acoustic)": This songs a bit strange. I dont like it that much, but i guess it just seems to different to the non acoustic sublime. 13. Sundowner - "One Hundred Resolutions": I love the guitar. i'm getting the album this was on now, 25% . I didnt actually notice it was from the Lawrence Arms singer at first. 14. Max Stern - "Setting Suns, Settling Sons": The "WE ARE THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY YEAH!" is the greatest! Sounds like you need 10 guys round the mic, screaming it! (like in ten things) 15. Greg Attonito and Shanti Wintergate - "The Something Special (Live)": I didnt take notice of the title, and for some reason i just didnt realise it was Greg Attonito from the Souls til the start of the first chorus. AND THEN I NOTICED, and this song blew me away. The qualities not the best, but was there a whole bootleg or just this track!? and did they perform any other souls songs, or was it a Shanti concert? AMAZING! 16. The Loved Ones - "Selfish Masquerade (Acoustic)": Pretty sweet song, although once again, i rather the original, with distortion. (I really love my distortion) 17. Bob Dylan - "The Times They Are A-Changin'": Good song, I've heard it before but didn't have it. Goes pretty well with my freewheeling Bob Dylan album 18. Lucero - "Hold Me Close": I got in to these guys from the other bands section of the forum. There like a bit fo Bruce, a bit of tom waits, with a more rock feel. There pretty sick! 19. Street Dogs - "Free": My most played song from State Of Grace. It bloody good! 20. Fear Like Us - "Song of Rattling Keys": I have a radio interview of these guys and they played a few songs. Not this one but a few others and I had a few listens, thought they were pretty good, but then never re-listened or got any albums. I think i might now 21. Neutral Milk Hotel - "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea": Alright, A bit too country for me. Good song to fall asleep to i reckon. 22. Rocky Votolato - "Alabaster": I like this song, his voice goes beautifully with the acoustic guitar. I'll look into him. 23. Joe Strummer & the Mescaleros - "The Long Shadow": Not my favourite Joe Strummer song, but its a good one to sing along to. 24. Paul Baribeau - "Ten Things": A LITTLE MASTERPEICE! well, maybe not the masterpeice, but such a good song. The lyrics are great, its got a great point to it, and its so upbeat and you just can't help smilig when listening to it. It may be a little crazy, but it's one of the best songs on this mixtape. Thanks for the mixtape Jukebox. There's a fair few bands/artists i'm going to check out or already have checked out. And to anybody who is thinking about downloading - get into it, there's something for everyone in this mixtape, even if you don't usually listen to much acoustic, like me | |

yeah, AM! gets a ton of heat for selling out, but my theory is that no one would have cared if their new album was as good as the others. but since it was much more mediocre, people blamed it on signing to a major Greg and Shanti have played probly 30 acoustic shows together, just the two of them. this one was just in a coffee shop i think. i don't have the whole show, but there are a ton of videos on youtube (including a few with Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers), and better quality versions of this song. however, this performance is 10x better than the others

| So I'm really behind on downloading and commenting on everyone's mixtapes, but I wanted to tell you, this is probably my favorite mixtape so far. I love the acoustic theme.
I like the guitar on the first song (not that I don't like the voice, too)
I've heard Frank Turner's name before, and that he toured with Gaslight and such, but hadn't listened to his stuff, yet. Can't say I'm in love with it, but I do enjoy this song.
I love the acoustic Angel's Wings, haven't heard it in forever, and I don't think I've downloaded it yet. Definitely one of my favorite songs on the mix. I think I still enjoy the original version best, though (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJQB0uLRfUw)
I haven't listened to much Bruce Springsteen until lately (found my mom's old stash of Springsteen records that she no longer wants, worked out well for me), so I really dug this song, one of the best tracks on the mix, for me.
Thumbs up for Apologies, I Have None, The Riot Before (I'm really becoming partial to songs with harmonica, maybe there's a theme for a mixtape), AM!, Rumbleseat (still hadn't listened to them prior to this mix, even though I've heard them recommended several times on this board), really loving "Wait at Milano," the Neutral Milk Hotel song, and the last three...
The only ones I think I didn't care for were Sublime, although if I had to listen to Sublime, this is probably the song I would choose, and "The Something Special," although I might like that one better if it was better quality (if that sounds rude I don't mean it like that, just that maybe that's affecting my opinion of the song). And I still can't really get into The Loved Ones, his voice just sounds too pop-punk for me.
Overall, I love this mix, so thank you for putting it together!
