Moderators

So currently, the mods are only allowed to moderate the News subsection.
And i was thinking that instead of changing it to the whole forum, we could assign each mod to do a different section.
Thats how its done on another board i post on, and its relatively successful.
That way we as mods can concentrate on one area as opposed to the whole broad spectrum.

If any of the admins think thats a good idea, im up for it.
I figured that:
I could have the Other section.
Stalls_Standing could take the Gaslight Anthem section.
JoshRaymond could take the Audio/Video/Interview section.
And obviously the admins have free range over everything.

Just a suggestion .

As this forum gets larger I agree... but right now, I would just let it flow.

in fact, i dont know if we need so many mods.

I do think we need to establish a list of things to edit for:

here is what I have been thinking of:

1. Personal attacks, it is ok to say "this sucks" or "that sucks" but not "e6c sucks" or "dandan sucks"

2. Posts just to raise their post count

3. Posts that cause problems (remember the muslim cartoon post on AM! Forum?)

4. edit profanity, normally I have no problem with cursing, but have you noticed that there is not a single curse word in any TGA song? They don't do it, we shouldn't either... I am still up in the air about replacement (fuck becomes fudge (only I didn't say fudge)) or edit fuck becomes f*ck

that is all I can think of now...

also, I think every mod/site admin should post something on every new Introduce Yourself thread.

but im not too sure about the whole profanity thing.
i dont think it is too much of a problem.
if it crosses a line, we can edit it.
