| I first saw the Gaslight Anthem on their '59 Sound debut tour on May 5th, 2009. They played at a mid-sized venue called the Masquerade in downtown Atlanta, and played in the lowest of three levels (also known as "Hell"). I just turned seventeen at the time, and I knew about them for about half a year previous to them coming to town. I got my father, sister, and her boyfriend to come with me, and we were running incredibly late and missed the first opening band. We saw the Heartless Bastards play, however, and they were utterly fantastic (as well as quite drunk by the end of the set.). When Gaslight came on, they had no special introduction or anything like they do now with an opening song - they just kinda walked on stage and picked up their instruments. If I remember correct, they opened up with Great Expectations, and the place kind of exploded. I wore this Miles Davis shirt I found at GoodWill that night just to be lame and try to get a laugh out of them when they played Miles Davis & The Cool - I pulled the shirt off and waved it around when they started it, and fortunately the crowd AND the band found it at least a little bit funny - definitely made my night. Anyways, the set was amazing and I had a fantastic time with everyone - there were fewer douches at that show when they were a little smaller too. haha.
Afterwards, I think I actually managed to talk with the guys on and off for about an hour and a half, and it was just really nice since they were actually pretty eager to talk with everyone. We talked about being on SideOne and all the other bands on the label, their producer, the tour so far, etc. etc. etc. What makes me really happy is that our conversations get better and better every time they come back to Georgia, and they always remember me for bringing my dad and wearing that t-shirt. I think that the last show I went to, which was October third of this year, was probably the most intense and meaningful show for me, personally, but I loved how intimate that first show was at the Masquerade. I've seen them come back every time ever since.

| First time I see them was Nottingham on that first UK tour in 2008, Brian stood just a few feet from us watching the support act and untill he jumped on stage had no idea who it was, was blown away then as i am now two and half years on and 12 gigs on, its been a fantastic journey so far. | |

| I saw them like 2 and a bit years ago now (jesus time flys by way too fast.), was in the academy in their first irish show. Was a bit after 59' sound came out and i was god damn obsessed with them before that even came out. Was an amazing live show, i couldn't listen to their albums for a couple of weeks because it just reminded me of how great the live show was and how i wasn't there. I also saw frank turner live (first time i'd even heard of the chap) and i was hooked on him after too! Overall i think the experience of listening to TGA has opened my eyes to even more music thats out there so yeah...... amazing live show. | |

| My first Gaslight show was at Radio City. I'm in the Army and was stationed in South Korea. I took leave so I could finally see them in concert...I missed the 59 tour, but it was totally worth the wait and the money! |

| Saw them this afternoon for the first time. The festival crowd was shit because Sum 41 were immediately after Gaslight and their fans felt the need to invade the pit, but I still had fun.
Gaslight played a new song that "no-one else has heard", I think it was called 'A Night In Paris' but I'm not sure. Sounded like blues-rock.
Seeing them again tomorrow night, should be better.

The guy didn't upload anything for "A Night in Paris", but I sent him a message inquiring about it. If he says he didn't get it, I guess the Bring it On Curse is in effect. Do you think maybe it was one of the Horrible Crowes songs? Seems a little early for new Gaslight material.

well Brian said somewhere that Gaslight would start writing songs in January, so maybe they already have some... or not... i just don't think that Gaslight would play a Horrible Crowes song, at least not for now... anyways i can't wait for the upcoming shows, hope someone records it!

Do you think maybe it was one of the Horrible Crowes songs? Seems a little early for new Gaslight material. That show was the day before, but they may have played it there too. I don't think it was horrible crowes, it had a real upbeat white stripes kind of vibe. As I said I'm seeing them again tonight, if they play it again I'll try to get a video.

Here's a clip from the new song, Biloxi Parish according to Benny's blog. Horrible sound quality, so you can't really hear the song, but at least it's the first sign of something new...

| First time I saw Gaslight was in Manchester, England November 2010. I'd been a fan for about a year by then and it was the first time i'd had a chance to see them live. Fair to say they didn't disappoint, they played a set of around 25 songs with perfect balance between new and old. Seeing them in July at Rock Werchter festival, Belgium. I literally cannot wait !! | |

| Dublin 2009, took my dad to see them, he loved it. Polar Bear Club and Frank Turner were meant to be support, but PBC didn't make it, so we got a full Frank Turner set. Fantastic night. | |

| First and only time I've seen them was last year with Social Distortion. Unfortunately their set was only 40 minutes. I swear Brian kept looking at me during Here's Looking At You, Kid | |

| The Midland Theater, which is a sweet venue, in KC July 17, 2010....day before my bday. I told my wife that's what I wanted for my bday was just to go up and see the boys and we made it happen.
I remember the place blowing up with '59 Sound, State of Love and Trust, and Great Expectations. Also remember loving The Backseat as the closer.
Love of energy. Here was the set list:
1.American Slang 2.Old White Lincoln 3.We Came to Dance 4.The Diamond Church Street Choir 5.Boxer 6.Even Cowgirls Get the Blues 7.Bring It On 8.Miles Davis and the Cool 9.Wherefore Art Thou, Elvis? 10.The '59 Sound 11.Old Haunts 12.Red in the Morning 13.Stay Lucky 14.Angry Johnny and the Radio 15.The Queen of Lower Chelsea 16.Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts 17.Great Expectations Encore: 18.Film Noir 19.The Spirit of Jazz 20.State of Love and Trust (Pearl Jam cover) 21.Boomboxes and Dictionaries 22.Here's Looking at You, Kid 23.The Backseat
