| The results of our The ’59 Sound Setlist poll are in! So below you find the overall results as well as some Details for the statistics geeks amongst us. Just to be clear: the poll is for all albums APART from The '59 Sound which will be played in full at all of the upcoming anniversary shows! The Top 20 are very SOS heavy with a good dose of American Slang thrown in. In order to not to neglect the other albums we’ve also looked at the Top 5 per album which you find below. | This is impossible! I've got it down to 20, and that's with removing National Anthem and The Navesink Banks because Brian does them fairly regularly on his own and they don't sound too different. I'm really glad there is a long deadline on it!

| Just got thinking about the last full album show I went to, which was The Wildhearts doing Earth Vs. For the second half, at the start of each song they had two guys come out with song titles on big signs and you had to cheer for the one you wanted - the one with the loudest cheer got played. It was kind of silly, but immense fun, especially for those of us with a mildly competitive nature!

| Surprised there are no Get Hurt tracks in the Top 20. Would love to see Dark Places in there. Halloween too as it only ever seems to work well live. | |

I think that's at least partially because the last time the band toured was in support of Get Hurt and they played everything from that album pretty heavily in those shows, so people haven't heard some of these older songs live in a really long time.

Good point! I got lucky I guess seeing a Get Hurt show + their final headline show about a year later before the hiatus (Shepherd's Bush). That final show had lots of SoS and very little Get Hurt. In fact that's one of my favourite setlists they've played. Here's hoping for a 3 hour set so we can hear everything! haha https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-gaslight-anthem/2015/o2-shepherds-bush-empire-london-england-6bf71682.html

I could be remembering wrong, but I feel like they didn't play that album heavily at all on that tour with the exception of the first 2 nights in DC. I hope they still play a song or two off it anyway. I can't believe Mae didn't make the top 15 and that Bring it On wasn't higher. Two of their best songs that are the least played. And I can't believe that a song we've gotten a number of times on Brian's solo tours (aka not at risk for never getting played live again after this tour like 99% of their other songs) ended up number 1 I love Blue Jeans too but c'mon people. Manuela, thanks for all the extra break down of stats. Very interesting to see.

| I'm glad Bring It On is #5. It is my all time favorite song and they haven't played it in so long (I put it in my #1 spot).
There is a lot of Sink or Swim. I know there's a lot of day 1 fans on the forum but for me I would put that album on par with Get Hurt personally. I saw one of the last headlining US show that Gaslight played in Lancaster PA and they only Sweet Morphine and Have Mercy from Get Hurt, and they played way more songs from Sink Or Swim. So @pleasepassthesoup I'm using the same logic as you but with a different result haha. It would be awesome to hear We're Getting a Divorce, You Keep the Diner or I Coulda Been a Contender, but I'd like to hear more of a variety. I bet they'll play more Handwritten than people expect, they always seem to like to enjoy playing those songs (I'm hoping for Blue Dahlia, Muholland Drive, or Keepsake).
My favorite Gaslight album is probably American Slang, followed by The '59 Sound and Handwritten, then Get Hurt and Sink or Swim. The '59 Sound is more of a hopeful, romantic album than their later stuff, so it might be cool to hear a contrast with a really intense song like Keepsake or We Did It When We Were Young. Can't wait to see footage from the shows this month! I hope they announce more dates but not sure what's gonna happen.

| It was fun choosing my favourites, and who knows; maybe they’ll bear the poll in mind when writing set lists. But actually, they’re playing my second favourite record of all time in its entirety, so I have plenty to be excited about either way!

| Quick reality check:
At the first 9:30 show 13 songs were played in addition to The '59 Sound album.
10 of these were in the Top 20 of the poll and came from the following albums:
SOS: 4 SATQ: 1 AS: 3 HW: 3 GH: 2

| Setlist on the second night at the 9:30 Club introduces a break in the '59 Sound set and features more songs from HW (4) and SOTQ (2), different ones from SOS (4) and less from GH (1) and AS (2). | |
