I'm halfway through. "Etta James", holy shit.

I loved painkillers but this record just had so much more soul and feeling put into it I feel! Feels like Elsie’s big sister!

Liking better than painkillers already for first listen. Can’t help but sing “among other foolish things” Her majesty’s service but I think it’s fitting cause it sounds like it’s supposed to be a sequel to that song.

This is all so, so good!

Definitely like this one way better than Painkillers already. It feels more complete and more confident. I was actually surprised by what tracks stood out over others. I've listened twice now all the way through and like it better each time. Etta James blew me away. I was not expecting that one. I can't remember the last time I reacted like that to a song on first listen. I really liked Little Nightmares too. He really nails it with the rhythm of his vocals, if that makes sense? Watson's great too. There really isn't a weak track. Maybe Sleepwalkers. But even that one's pretty good and growing on me. I feel so relieved, haha.

Hey there! I live in Australia and I woke up at 4am (by chance) I saw that the album had leaked and got up just to download it for when I really get up. Love the whole thing! The vocal rhythms in come wander with me, little nightmares and sleepwalkers are incredible! Etta James and Watson are beautiful. The only track I’m not digging much is Neptune, but hey I’ve only listened through twice. That outro to sleepwalkers though 🙌🏻

This album feels like the hug I needed. So good!

Me too! It’s a struggle, but I really want to hear it at its best first time through. Hoping one of my preorders will arrive early!

I'm going to Vintage Vinyl show on Saturday so I will hear him play (some of) it live before listening to the whole album. I was there for the first live performances of the first three tracks he dropped and it will be cool to see which other ones he introduces.  Unless of course the other pre-order gets here first, then all bets are off.

Did you ever encounter someone who said they intended to be douchey?

Sadly yes, if not in those words. I may say stupid or tone-deaf things, especially before coffee kicks in, but I'm not proud of it. Not here to make people feel bad.

Pretty blown away by this. Will have more input later and yes Etta James is pretty amazing but the title track kind of blew me away

I'm loving Etta James, Little Nightmares+Sleepwalkers and Neptune the most so far, but I love the record as a whole. I get it now, I like all his references and everything about his songs I disliked last week now that everything is in context.

I'm with you guys. I was and am still tempted but I'd prefer my first listen to be spinning the record. I do have 4 songs (5 if you count the acoustic version of Forget Me Not) to hold me a few more days.
