My page has now updated to say Standing has sold out

Well, That sucked. So finally I got one ticket via 'best available', after stalls standing had already sold out: Row N. I'll take binoculars ...

I'm going to try my luck later in the week, I've found a Livenation presale for Thursday so will give that a go.

There's a few dicks on Viagogo flogging tickets, some for over £100

I got tickets to DC but it took a lot of tries. If you weren't successful yet, keep trying!

Picked up Chicago tickets. Relatively painless, as these things go. Will be interesting to see them on this side of the pond - all my previous shows have been in the UK!

Yeah, it's terrible. My favourite band of all time, who had been on an indefinite hiatus (with the lead singer doing really pretty well with his solo career), have reformed to tour my favourite album of all time.

I get it. I am pumped as heck, but I get it. Before the hiatus, I saw Brian solo a few times and realized he was the show and would leave thinking "he doesn't need the band." Then I would see full band shows, and sometimes, not all the time, I would go back on that thought. At some shows, he sure seemed to be having a blast with the band, significantly more than the solo ones. Now, these were generally special shows (the Christmas show at Convention Hall comes to mind), but I think while the premise may be forced, I think the execution will be something special.

I'm just glad they're talking.  I will enjoy these shows for what they are, but the bigger payoff here is knowing that they are willing to work together, full stop.

That said, I have grown kind of used to small venues and feeling a closer fan-artist connection (not just with Brian, but the other bands I started following as a result of following him), so this (at least Governor's Ball) is going to feel kind of weirdly anonymous by comparison.  9:30 club is still pretty small compared to, say, Radio City or the Arts Center, but hopefully you get what I mean.

Tried to buy presale tickets for Dublin today and the standing ones were sold out. I'm hoping that they only put a limited number of tickets on presale. Does anyone know if extra standing tickets will be on sale tomorrow?

I'd be extremely surprised if all standing tickets were allocated to the presale. I've never known that happen before.
