| On Sunday, Sept. 10, Brian will have second billing after Bleachers at the Shadow of the City festival at the Stone Pony Summerstage. Given that he's in New Orleans right now recording, I'm hopeful this will be among the first chances to hear some of the new tunes. Also on the bill: Brick+Mortar Khalid Nicole Atkins Titus Andronicus Tove Styrke Plus the world famous sotc charity dunk tank, food trucks, carnival games, weird NJ + rachel antonoff pop-up stands and more of the best NJ has to offer. $1 per ticket will be donated to The Ally Coalition, an organization that raises awareness in support of homeless LGBTQ youth and LGBTQ equality. | Hey y'all!
Anyone have any inside info on set times? I am coming from the city and want to time my NJ transit as exactly as possible!
In other news, STOKED for what I will assume is the debut of some new music as well as the opportunity to see some other bands I like or have never heard of. Since the OP, Andrew McMahon has signed up, which should be a fun little addition to the proceedings.
In any event, Weather is looking gorgeous, can't wait to rock out under those Central Jersey Skies

| I haven't seen anything but I will keep my eyes open. I'm going to be down there all weekend so I'll see what I can find out. | |

| Nothing new, unless we are including the cover. He did sound rested and up beat, so that is always nice. Definitely a great set for a festival

| It was a good show despite no previews of the new album. Capped a great summer of music for me. | |

| It was a good 40 min - man I miss Brian

Pretty good recording of Peace Love and Understanding - most of the rest of his songs are there too - I just did point and shoot, but they look ok

It was good! I got hear a bunch of my favorites. B's set was too short, of course, but if it was two hours I'd say it was too short. I thought it was cool that he sang "Mary Ann" and "Behold the Hurricane" (both with hurricane references) back-to-back given our country's current weather woes, although he didn't say anything about it.

| This festival was the perfect bookend to my summer. Went to see Brian and Nicole Atkins in one of my favorite venues and left loving the Bleachers (immediately got a ticket for their November show in Boston) and Andrew McMahon (crowd surfing on an inflatable duck - woohoo!) as well. The Khalid set was excellent too and so were pretty much all the performances. Weather was absolutely gorgeous and seeing Brian play at sunset was a special treat. A beautiful weekend on the Jersey Shore. | |

| How come we all never make any kind of D.S. meetup plan? I did actually make a friend from this site and we hung out at this show but it would be cool to say hello and put more faces to nicks. Maybe at Crossroads? | |

I feel like Crossroads makes the most sense, probably the one that ends up on the Friday night (last year was Wednesday-Friday I think?) or maybe the next time he tours around and comes to Webster Hall or something like that

| Agreed, that would be cool. It would be alot easier to find each other at Crossroads than most other venues, too, given the scale. I hope to go to all three nights (assuming there are three, and depending on who opens). | |
