He did perform one song on Sunday with the Tangiers Blues Band at the Danny Clinch book release party. Pretty sure the song he sang on was "Love in Vain" by the Stones. He was in very good spirits talking with fans and autographing his picture in the book. Saw him out back hanging with Brian McGee and Pete from the Souls. Really fun day all around!

Nice! Not announced then? You were just there to see Tangiers Blues Band and he happened to show up?

Well there was an article in the newspaper about the event and it mentioned that someone pictured in the book was going to make an appearance. A lot of people thought Bruce was going to show up since his close relationship with Clinch and he was spotted walking around Red Bank the day before. I knew this leg of the tour had just ended and had a feeling Fallon might be the one to show up. Sure enough he walked in the side door right where me and a buddy were standing.

Brian mentioned in the Q&A he did for DSS in July that he has plans to wrap all his side projects into one thing. Now this plan becomes reality. You can find a personal statement of Brian about these shows now included in the first post of this thread.

So, I told my job I was celebrating my grandfather's 90th birthday for night 1. What excuse should I use for night 2 now? Ideas?

You are attending a good friend's law school graduation (seriously please someone record one or both of the nights for those of us who will be graduating law school that day)

I've had at least 3 people suggest this to me! Haha. Well, I am Irish (by heritage), so my boss might believe my grandpa would wanna drink long into the night's celebration (no offense meant to our lovely DSSers from that great country! )
Thanks for the ideas guys!

can we agree that if we're combining the side project names, it should be "Horrible Zombie Crowes?"

It's all about making a cohesive story, so on that note.... while you were partying with your grandpa all night, getting wild and crazy, someone stole your car and guess what, you can't make it in to work!

Car won't start. It just needs a new starter, so it'll be out of the shop tomorrow, but you can't go anywhere until it is.

I live literally one mile for the venue so I am so psyched about how easy it will be to get to and from the show.

The message from Brian has me hoping he's re-figured out how to play The Blues Mary in the time since the last Crossroads show!

Yeah. Last time he said he wanted to play it but when he sat down backstage to figure it out, he couldn't remember how to play it. I'm hoping that since he specifically mentioned playing solo stuff and has at least thought about the song at some point during the past year, that he'll play it since it's not like he has an over-abundance of songs that aren't attached to one of his bands.
At the last show he also recommended this youtube video from his solo show at the Middle East in Cambridge back in early-'09 (which is one my favorite shows I've ever been to!) for folks who wanted to get their fix of the song:
