If anyone wants to/knows how to record this (assuming it doesn't say anywhere that the guys are saving a recording of it to be sold at any point) then please do! I'm gonna be at the show but I'd love to be able to re watch it later!

I watched The Hold Steady's Yahoo Live concert early last week, and it was fantastic. Really quality stuff. So exciting, and it makes it easier to wait for TGA to get to Chicago next month.

Really hope this will be available to watch afterwards.

If The Hold Steady is any indication, there was a replay right after and it seemed like you could watch it again for a while, maybe, but I can't access their show now (8 days later).

Yeah, I'm seeing a 24-hour replay now. Maybe I can figure out how to record it in that time.

A show I was at a few weeks was streamed by yahoo. For the following 24 hours they air the show on a nonstop loop. After that they usually just have vids for a few songs posted.

Awesome show. Really great. Tad gutted they didn't do Break Your Heart-Dark Places though. Really wanted a proshot version of that. Could have added them plus Rollin' and Tumblin' and still be done by 11:25 (Or 4:25am my time). Also slightly surprised there was no Wooderson, Rollin' and Tumblin', Film Noir and Have Mercy as those 4 have been played a fair amount of late. If Film Noir or Have Mercy were added as well as Dark/Heart/Tumblin' it would have lasted 2 hours which would have been awesome.

Otherwise great. Loved Red Violins, Helter Skelton, and 1000 Years and was loving the inclusion of Howl and Blue Dahlia- plus the old favourites like 1930, We Came To Dance, Cowgirls, Haunts etc. Really great. Just wish Break Your Heart and Dark Places had made an appearance...

anyone know if they'll stick with the 24 loop. i do miss have mercy and some of the get hurt songs, shorter show all together it seems

The main set seemed longer, so I was expecting it to go on an extra 10-15 minutes then it actually did.

I mean, there were quite a few showcase songs that they didn't play tonight:
Rollin’ And Tumblin’
Dark Places
Break Your Heart
Old White Lincoln
Here’s Looking At You, Kid
The Backseat
Have Mercy
Wooderson
Film Noir
American Slang
Queen of Lower Chelsea

All were absent. I mean, if you just added in Rollin', Dark Places, Break Your Heart, Wooderson and Old White Lincoln or the Here's Looking-Backseat combo, then you could stretch it to two hours and you're building a legacy of epic live performances.

My only other gripe is that they don't extend songs- its exactly the way it sounds on the CD. I'd like the odd solo or more stuff like the intro and interlude in Angry Johnny or the transition between Elvis and Wooderson, or the Stand By Me intro to Woody Joe. More of that please.

But it was an excellent show and well worth staying up til 5:00am. It was awesome, but those are some improvements that I would humbly suggest.

Yeah, I'm just getting the Rollin and Tumblin video. It was looping back when I checked out the Hold Steady show.

Really great show, was front and center. My brother got a setlist. The band seemed to be really enjoying themselves too. Helter Skeleton translates excellent live, actually all of the new songs did. The band killed them and the audience knew most of them. Hopefully it streams again, I would love to watch it/save it/share it.

My only complaints are the lack of Dark Places/Backseat in favor of Baba O'Riley, and that the cameraman spent a lot of time pointed at me.

And yeah, Baba is great. They nail it. But if it means closing out the set with it in favor of a Gaslight song, I'd go with a Gaslight song every time. Baba only really works in their set as a closer, and I think every person there would prefer the last song they hear at a Gaslight Anthem show to be a Gaslight Anthem song.
