i been fortunately desperate and turbulently innocent. i was living underneath my body weight. my eyes were swollen green and hazy, sick from grief and hate and envy, i was crawling up inside my head.

The first two lines are exactly the things I was telling to two of my friends earlier and we agreed on writing songs about this. Which is really strange, because that's exactly what I wanted to write about. Especially the chains part. I spent a lot of time telling some people how I felt everything in my life has chains.

I think Brian should be proud of this song. It probably one of the best things he ever wrote to me.

I'm definitely hearing 'series of dreams' rather than 'an idiot dream' - anyone able to confirm that?

There is a difference between the whole song and the last verse, where it's definitly "an idiot dream", and not a "series of dreams" like the rest of the song.

The end is actually : And all MY life just feels like an idiot dream

Not commenting on the lyrics, but does anyone else think this one sounds like Oasis a little?

Maybe a little bit like oasis. The bridge definitely now that you mention it, though I wouldnt have thought so if you didnt say anything.

Can he not name them because it hurts to much for him to think about them, or is it that there have just been too many that he literally cant remember all their names?

I was up in the air on this for a while myself. Personally, the interpretation I've settled on is that he doesn't remember simply because "all this life just feels like a series of dreams." Kind of like everything seems distant and forgotten like a dream after you wake up. Everything feels like it took place in a different life.

I tought that it's simply because he don't want to name or speak about them anymore, because it reminds him some awful moments.
