Which two albums? How I Spent My Summer Vacation and The Good, The Bad, and the Argyle. I also have Anchors Aweigh, which I really like, and Hopeless Romantic, which is good but I honestly haven't listened to it much yet.

| Well, I still feel like hell. I think I need to look at antidepressants because I wake up miserable half the time. I think I threw my back out yesterday moving furniture ,and suffered through work with it. | |

How I Spent My Summer Vacation is my favorite Souls album. Just reminds me of driving around in the summer in high school. The Good, the Bad and the Argyle is their first LP and was just a compilation of some EPs they had made, so it's a lot more amateurish. Their songwriting came a long way from there.

| The epic new Titus Andronicus album is streaming on NPR and it's awesome. A 98 minute, 29 track punk-rock opera about manic-depression:

| I love that video. I saw it awhile ago, but it's fun to re-watch. Okay, so, rant time: So, there's this girl on the TV show set who's a little older than me and basically she's my boss. She's the extras P.A. and it's her job to deal with all of us background actors and get us where we need to go and tell us what to do. So the one day last month we were standing around in the woods and she just randomly started singing a line from Rollin' and Tumblin' and I was like, "Oh my god, you're singing Gaslight Anthem!" and she was like "Yeah!" and we proceeded to have this huge OMG fangirl moment together, talking about which albums are our favorites and such, and when the subject of the then-impending concert came up, I invited her to hang out with me and my brother and she said yes. So then for the next two days we were Gaslight buddies and it was awesome. So then we went home for a few days, came back to set, and there we were sitting around one day waiting for a long take to finish and she asked if I was going to see Gaslight when they came here. And I'm just like... yeah, I am... like the conversation we'd had didn't even happen. So then when the concert rolled around I didn't even bother asking if she was still coming, but I decided I'd flag her down and let her jump in with us if she did, and as far as I can tell she never showed up. So then... icing on the cake... I had to move my car yesterday because it was sticking out a little and it was in the way of the trucks and she comes in and asks, "Who has a red Nissan with a sticker that says 'Tiger Cuts' on it?" and I'm just like... Like, I get that not everyone is as big a Gaslight fan as I am and I get that not every Gaslight fan knows what Tiger Cuts is, but to go from "OMG I LOVE GASLIGHT SO MUCH!" (and me mentioning how much I love Alex and that I'm a brand whore for TC) to not even showing up at the concert is a very confusing concept to me. Like I know a lot of people love a lot of bands, but she seemed to REALLY love Gaslight, and it was just really disappointing to think I'd actually bonded with someone over it, only for them to literally forget my name a few weeks later. (Yes, she forgot my name yesterday after having said it 1,000 times before.) TL;DR: I thought I made friends with a girl over Gaslight, but in the craziness that is filmmaking, I ended up getting wiped from her brain. | |

| So yesterday was the 70 year anniversary of Hiroshima. One of the most horrific war crimes in history.
RIP all the victims. | |

RIP all the victims. It's certainly a moral quandary. If it was a crime of war, please do explain why nobody has been prosecuted for it? Nobody likes the fact that so many people died in a horrific way. Having said that, the war ended significantly sooner than it otherwise would have.

People say that Hiroshima was a military target, but the fact is that they specifically targeted the very center of the town, not a military facility. They wanted civilians to die. That's a war crime if you ask me.

| Well, I asked her if she was doing anything Friday night. She said no. I then asked her if she wanted to hear me play original music that night. Her response was "maybee". The fact she didn't laugh in my face like the last one, I consider that a success. Now to see if she shows up. Now I've got a different woman messaging me on FB, and she seems into me. She's typing a lot of "lols" at the end of her sentences. I said I love talking to you and she responded "so do I". She even offered to take me to a bar. I may have asked the wrong girk out. Oh well, I asked the one out first and it would be rather horrible if I did anything to break it off. | |
