the dog of a friend of mine got hit by a car 2 weeks ago...it is really sad when you lose your pet....

I'm sorry too man. We will be having to put our dog to sleep in the coming weeks and it's the first time I'm going through loss of a pet as an adult, with a pet I've had throughout their whole life, and it's heartbreaking. I'm more affected by this than I think I have been by any of my grandparents dying so it's quite a big deal for me. It helps a little to think of someone else going through the same thing right now. <33

The Eurovision Songcontest was quite interesting, there were really so many good acts for the first time...

I'm so sorry I know it doesn't help, but your dog, like Jimmy's cat, is lucky to have someone who loves them so much and is so affected by their death. Many of us, human and animal alike, are not so lucky. Just think of all the good times. 😊 I've been thru this many times, message me if you want

This is not at all like losing a pet, but yesterday was my last day petsitting w the company I was w for 3+ yrs. I got quite nostalgic the last few days. I miss my pups

Thanks <3 I found out a couple hours after my post this morning that she had been put to sleep yesterday and my mom hadn't told me cause I was away and she didn't know the right time. I'm very sad but also relieved that her pain is over now, cause it was time.

That is sad tho! I always get sad when leaving jobs, even though it's always been on terms and to move on to better things.

They said I wasn't up to their level. Meanwhile the basist hasn't played in months, the singer only shows up sometimes, and the second guitarist has only shown up for one practice.

in other news, a police officer was killed here early this morning after a (most likely) drunk driver drove the wrong way for about 35 MILES ON 4 DIFFERENT FREEWAYS WTF

Watched Jack White and Neil Young tonight on Fallon. White brought his booth with him and Neil recorded a song. Anyone have any idea what it costs to record a song at Third Man? (out of curiosity). I had a buddy stop there on a road trip and he never even looked into it. I was shocked.

It's like less than $5, if you're talking about the booth.
If you're talking an actual recording, I have no idea.
How was the performance? I wanted to watch it, but got too tired.
I LOVE anything Third Man. They are BY FAR my favorite record label, and the only brand name I care about.

An officer was killed here too, by a guy who shot him. Over a domestic dispute call.
