Upcoming 2014 Releases

I have posted here because I am not sure how many bands have records due out this year. I don't really know of any major releases apart from Gaslight and Coldplay. Augustines and The Fray both put out great albums this year but I am sure there must be more good bands with music due out in 2014. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great for me haha!

Well both of these have technically already come out this year but if you haven't checked out Chuck Ragan's new album Till Midnight, I think that one's pretty good and Against Me!'s new album Transgender Dysphoria Blues is definitely worth checking out too.

Thanks Shelby I have listened to some of the tracks from Till Midnight but I need to give that a full listen. I will definitely check out Against Me's new album too. I don't think I have ever listened to them before.

Quite rightfully too. Too many lyrics about partying that just came across as corny. Black Lips new'un trumps everything else this year.

This Black Lips album production is plain great! They made it sound like a fckn oldschool record!! Most songs themself not that great thought

You choose that line of criticism for the one Hold Steady album that has almost nothing to do with partying? Are you sure you didn't listen to Almost Killed Me?

And as for corniness, there's always been a part of that in THS ("People call me Sunny D, cause I got the good stuff that kids go for" is the best worst line ever). Finn makes it work. At any rate, I didn't see anything corny about this record in particular.
