| People who have gotten into Brian McGee since Crossroads (or since other shows), you should def check out his solo stuff. He has an album called "The Taking or the Leaving" and a self-titled under the band name Brian McGee and the Hollow Speed. I think his upcoming "Ruin Creek" might be the best yet from what I've heard so far, but these records are both really enjoyable. I guess I'd label them upbeat Americana?
Some of my fave tracks: off The Taking or the Leaving: "Hold Sway" "Diving Horses"
off the Hollow Speed: "Keep On Going" "That's When the Night Comes On" (played both nights at Crossroads) "Hell is Open All Night"

| I got the taking or the leaving after the first crossroads. Here I am, let's bleed, graveyard fields, all great songs . Taking or the leaving is a bit more on the country side but it seriously grew on me. And for those who didn't know this is the guitarist for molly and the zombies. Brian knows how to pick them | |

| He also must be pals with Chuck or someone, cause I saw him on the Revival Tour in 2012. I think he just did one stop, Providence. I think a lot of people are friends with Plow from back in the day. | |

| Also saw Brian play with Frank Turner at the Knitting Factory and open for the Horrible Crowes. I like his solo album. Definitely won me over at the Crossroads shows. | |

| He's winning me over slowly but surely. I'm not as into the country stuff but I like Plow United a lot and I've really enjoyed most of the songs he played at Crossroads. Plus he mentions "South of the Border" in one of the songs and I can't help but laugh at that. If you haven't driven between Virginia (or wherever those stupid billboards start) and South Carolina then you may not know about that one, but it's this cheesy Mexican themed tourist attraction and they advertise for it for sooo many miles, and then when you actually see it it's the size of a parking lot. | |

| I was at that Providence Revival Tour show. He along with Cory Branan were the highlights of the night. It was nice to have some alt country stuff to counter balance the intense punk rock attitudes of Dave Hause and then at the time Tom Gabel. He signed my copy of The Taking and the Leaving and we even had a bit of email correspondence for a wee while afterwards. He struck me as very sincere and down to earth. Couldn't have more nice things to say about him. I'm still kind of gobsmacked that my two favourite Brian's in rock n roll are in the same band together. Definitely think he's worth checking out for anyone on here. Naomi Rose, Graveyard Fields and Hawk on the Highway are my favourites. | |

| seriously, I've liked him since the Prov show and I freaked out when I realized that Molly and the Zombies was a legit thing and that he was part of it!

| One of the nicest human beings ever. Ruin Creek is phenomenal. Plow is one of my favorite bands, so it rules that his acoustic stuff is actually really great. I usually hate the frontman from a punk band picks up a guitar stuff, but really dig McGee's solo stuff. | |

| aw yiss! also, he won't be doing it at Fest, but he did full band for the first time in awhile (excluding the two Ruin Creek tracks the Zombies did at Bell House) last weekend and it was pretty sweet (and he's doing it again 11/8 in Trenton, where T. Gunn will also be, highly recommended show for Crossroads peeps especially!) | |
