| hey guys, after getting more and more into this band,i bought all their releases on vinyl, but always just the black copies.now they're starting to bore me and,for example, a green vinyl would be way better.so if got two questions: 1.i don't just want the vinyl as a 'rare' object, i also want to listen to it.but with buying coloured vinyls of other bands, i found out, that most of them sounded quite rubbish and got worse with each time i listened to them.can anyone tell me, if the gaslight vinyls are like that, too? or is the sound equal to the black ones? 2.which colours are still available? the best way for me to get them would be on tour, because i'm from germany and there aren't too many shops who sell vinyl of underground bands... thanks -chris- | |

As for quality I have no idea will have to ask someone like Stalls who actually buys and listens to there vinyl.
On anther note you say you have all the releases on black if you have sink or swim on black you are on lucky mother. | |

| yeah,i know that it's fuckin' rare and i also paid much money for it,but in fact i later realized that i got it quite cheap. how much is a first pressing of 'sink or swim' worth if it is in a "vg-" state? | |

| there is no such thing as vinyls, it's vinyl or records, not vinyls. Concerning the records, some people have said certain colors do sound different, I wanna say it was the color red, but maybe I'm way off, who knows. All of my stuff sounds the same, regardless of color. The one main thing to think about is how far into the press the album is and if they've done anything at the pressing plants. I think they're supposed to do new plates or something every few thousand copies. I don't know much about the vinyl pressing process, but somewhere in the process they should do a new mold/press or whatever. yep | |
