The Scandals and Gaslight Anthem to Release 5 Song EP

The Scandals will also be releasing an acoustic, 5-track EP with the Gaslight Anthem through Red Bull Studios to promote the show.

"It was basically to promote the show on the 27th and I went in and did two of my songs acoustic and Brian Fallon came in and did three Gaslight Anthem songs acoustic," said Hart. "It was cool, I do the acoustic thing a lot, but I'd never had an opportunity to go into a studio and record, so it was nice to get that live feel of recording in a room and have it sound good and it was just a lot of fun to do."

That'd be nice. It might just be a digital relase though.

I doubt it, but would love if he finally recorded an acoustic version of 1930. From the footage I've seen, it's brilliant.

45, She Loves You and Handwritten. There's someone singing backing vocals on the choruses too. Sounds real good

She Loves You is actually mindblowingly good

I was least expecting "45" to blow me away but wow. That is an amazing rendition.

I feel like I'm hearing all 3 songs again for the first time. Especially 45 and She Loves You.

This reminded me why I fell in love with the Gaslight Anthem. Wow.

Def found new appreciation for these tracks after listening to this. Jared also kills those songs solo, stoked to see him again on Sunday.

It seems to be a free EP according to Brooklyn Vegan and I can't see any hint for a 'proper' release.

I don't even know how to rip off soundcloud but my guess is that if it hasn't been declared it will be available for purchase surely theres no harm. Who knows

I agree with the general attitude here; these tracks are pretty damn good if I do say so. And She Loves You is quite simply incredible.  

They are some of Brians better acoustics. She Loves You still doesn't beat his BBC version from a few years back though...

I think this is definitely the best acoustic version of "45" I've heard. The other two are okay but "45" stands out for me.

Yeah I can't think of "45" being played better than this. I never really thought of it as an acoustic song really but this performance has swayed me.

I think the addition of You Really Got a Hold On Me in the She Loves You outro makes it the best version of that song yet. Fits so perfectly
