| Subject: More info on a song...and the Box Set Thu Jun 20, 2013 4:08 pm | |
| So, I got the Singles Box set from S1D (a few days early as well, just posting a bit late) and the b-side to Boxer was a fantastic acoustic version. This one actually: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enCwsG4IRnI
I have no idea where they took it and so on (like whose doing the killer backup vocals?). Just wondered if anyone knew anything, and who got the box set. I got mine on red, out of 500 presses I think. I love every song but the State and Love of Trust cover. They didn't pick a very good take of that song in my opinion.
Anyway, let me know. | |

| ^^^ They released that version of Boxer online asĀ freebie a few years ago. That's B-Fal himself on the back-up vocals. | |

Anyway, let me know. Woah, I never heard this version, thanks for the link! For some reason Brian's vocals remind me a lot of how he sounded pre-gaslight, particularly like the recording of that surrogate mackenzie song about buffy.

I remember when they put it out for free during XMas 2010, I believe, but then it disappeared for a while. Got that Tom Waits vibe goin on

| I have the blood red version. The hole of some of the 7"s isn't exactely in the middle of the record, so it gives a whoawhoa-sound (don't know how to explain it better in English). Anybody has the same problem? | |
