| So I decided to spend the past hour figuring out how Brian generally plays his part for HLAYK and wound up with:
Full step down, Capo on 4 A = x-0-2-2-2-0 F#m = x-4-4-2-2-2 D = x-x-0-2-3-2 E = 0-2-2-1-0-x
Picking:
----------------- -------x--------- ----------x---x-- ----x-------x---- --x-------------- -----------------
A F#m D E progression does picking pattern twice per chord All other progressions use picking pattern once per chord
Intro:
A F#m D E A F#m D E
Verse 1:
A F#m D E (You can tell Gale ) A F#m D E (And even if that's a lie) F#m E D A (When we were kids) F#m E D D (I woulda been her fool) F#m E D A (And I would of sang) A E (You tell that Gale)
Bridge 1:
A F#m D E
Verse 2:
A F#m D E (And you can tell Jane) A F#m D E (And that's total deceit) F#m E D A (And tell her I spent) F#m E D D (Bleeding out) F#m E D A (And I would gotten a ride) A E (You tell that to Janey) A A A A
Verse 3:
F#m D A E (But boys will be boys) F#m D A E (That will cut you to ribbons) F#m D A E (And all you can do) F#m D A E (And bleed if it's what she says)
Bridge 2:
F#m D A E F#m D A E F#m E D A A E A A A A
Verse 4:
A F#m D E (You remind Nana) A F#m D E (Heard she lives in Brooklyn) F#m E D A (And I used to wait) F#m E D D (Praying she won't cancel again) F#m E D A (And the waiter served my coffee) A E (You remind Nana if she asks why)
A F#m D E (Tell her it's alright [starts during the E chord]) A F#m D E (No it's hard to tell you this [starts during the E chord]) F#m E D A F#m E D D (No it's hard to tell you this [starts during the D chord]) F#m E D A A E A (Here's looking at you, kid [starts at the end of the first A])
Any feedback would be appreciated since this is my first attempt at tabbing songs.
